How Can Remove Negative GMB Reviews?

My name is Vicky and I'm a SEO Executive. I have been doing a job for 1.5 years but one issue I face many times is how I can remove negative google reviews although I report reviews having said that reviews not be removed. Could you tell me any other way to remove negative reviews.

You should familiarize yourself with Google's policies, and work with that.

There is no other way to remove reviews.

If flagging the bad review doesnt work, try using Googles Review Management Tool to file an appeal. Make sure to add proof like receipts or messages. U can also post your issue in the Google Business Profile Help Community - sometimes Google experts there can help get it looked at faster.

If the review has threats or false claims, contact Google Business Support directly.

Always reply to bad reviews in a calm and polite way. Dont argue. Ask the person to contact you directly so others can see you care.

Also, try to get more good reviews to push the bad one down and help your SEO. Even a bad review can help you learn and show others how good your customer service is.

    Hi Vicky,

I don't think that you can remove bad reviews from Google.

If your service is as good as you think it is, I hope you have a good amount of good reviews.

    Also know this:

Even the best companies in the world who have the best products etc, will get BAD reviews here and there.

Don't worry about these bad reviews. Just do a good job to help your clients and move forward.

I've found the best way to get a review removed is to reach out to them directly. Just ask them what made them put up the bad review, what can we do to be better, and ask them is there a way we can correct the issue.

At the end of the call after listening to them just ask them if they would consider removing the review. You'll find that over half of the people would be willing to remove the review.

It's crazy how many reviews I was able to get reviewed that way.

Aside from that reporting reviews won't get them removed. You might be able to get reviews with profanity or bullying in the review removed but you are never going to get a review removed if you report them as competitors.

I will say a few bad reviews are not a bad thing... I will never trust a product or business that has 200-300 5 star reviews..

Hi Vicky, It's great that you have 1.5 years of SEO experience. Removing negative Google reviews is a challenge many SEO professionals face. Even after reporting, most of them don't get removed. The best way is to flag the review from multiple Google accounts and choose the correct reason like spam or fake content. If that doesn't help, you can contact Google Business Support and share proper proof. Also, always reply to negative reviews in a polite and professional way. Try to collect more positive reviews from happy customers to balance it out. In serious cases, legal action is also an option.
