Ok, on first look of this matrix you would think - probably best to avoid.

But upon anlalysing #1 in more detail, ms said 1000/1000 links were pr 0 and 95% of them were on the same site.

The links were from a totally unrelated site which sells everything from socks to jewellery (nothing to do with this niche at all) and they were all links from the footer on each page.

So that site is unrelated, has the anchor text of my keyword on the footer of EVERY page of the SAME UNRELATED website.

I fear the response will be that of, "its one you are going to have to just try to see" rather than "yes it looks good" or "hell no".

7 and 9 are amazon and kelkoo

Numbers:
SEOT 2,278
SEOC 23,100
PBR 82%

This is the UK market only

So what i want to know is how significant is the fact pretty much all of #1s links are coming from the same unrelated site with each page just having the keyword anchor text in the footer?

Ok obviously its relevant or it wouldnt be 1st in the UK, i find it interesting it isnt anywhere to be soon globally. It has a .org.uk suffix. I cant believe google are giving it such a high ranking for something blatantly obvious. Does this mean we can buy a high pr site with tonnes of pages like a catalogue and dominate niche markets by just having various anchors in the footers?

What also came to my mind was imagine google found all of those links irrelevant (apart from maybe 1 of them) and only looked at the other 5% which is enough to get it 1st, along with it being on page optimised.

And the 4000 blp merely is making it look better than what it actually is?

Thanks for any response, will be looking for views before i go ahead with this.

Very low competitive keywords are easy to rank high for. If you read through Google Sniper, it focuses on low competition keywords.

There's also too many variables to pinpoint what is giving it a high rank. On page seo factors play a big part with low comp keywords too.

Are you able to get keyword rich domain?, based on Backlinks some of them seems like web 2.00 properties, you can outrank them or replace your web 2.00 property,

If you have long term view of this niche, then keyword rich domain with backlinks looks like a good option, assuming some of top 10 listings are web 2.00 properties.
