Success with Blogger vs Wordpress

Have you had more success with blogger or wordpress in marketing. I personally use Wordpress for self hosting and marketing... but are there other experiences?

Don't even waste time with the other platforms. I know, I know they all have some strengths and weaknesses. But when you factor in the enormous plugin library behind Wordpress, it's hard to go with anything else.

I happened across this article on techcrunch a few weeks ago talking about a new app store for Wordpress developers. It will allow for high-quality WP plugins to bubble to the top, while at the same time, allowing developers the ability to get paid for their efforts. Pretty cool addition to the WP world.

    yep.

blogger is for the less techie.

wordpress is far more capable and robust, just takes a little more effort and understanding. it's well worth it tho! way more professional.

I use both of them. Wordpress for money sites and blogger to get back links to these sites.

wordpress seems to have better seo stuff build in...

I almost always got my post listed on the top few positions in google
within minutes of posting... of course, the post is optimized for keyword phrase
    with less than 5000 competition.

I have also experienced similar results for 3 of my sites which is quite surprising - however I think have had great backlinks with blogger too.

It may be going against the flow, but right now I'm sticking to Blogger.

I'm not too worried about any special customization, and I like to get bogged down by technical stuff as little as possible. I also probably think too much of it, but I was really annoyed when I found a gaping difference between .com and .org - especially since I really only wanted a one-page site.

Maybe in future I'll take a closer look at it, but right now I just don't need it.

I can't imagine bothering with anything other than WordPress for my sites. It's rock solid. I used it for almost everything.
