Niche Ecommerce in the UK: How Seasonal Demand Drives Traffic & Sales

I've been building a niche ecommerce brand in the UK called ( Edted by Moderator) focused on party costumes and themed outfits. What's been interesting is how strongly seasonal events (like Halloween, World Book Day, festivals) drive spikes in traffic and conversions -- more so than evergreen trends.

I'm curious -- for those in niche ecommerce, how do you balance between seasonal vs. year-round inventory? And do you find Google Ads or SEO more effective in short seasonal windows?

Would love to hear your insights or swap strategies!

Forecast demand in advance, increase inventory before key holidays, quickly clear inventory after the holidays, and retain core SKUs throughout the year.
In the short term, Google Ads are more effective. SEO is suitable for long-term traffic.
