Anyone noticing abnormally more sales recently?

I usually only average 2 sales per day but the last 3-4 days I've been at 5-6 sales per day? I thought we were in a recession.

I noticed an increase the past 10 days or so in the Internet marketing related niches.

Some products do very good when things are getting tough for people because many are looking for way to add to their income.

Don't know what niche you're in but one of my financial niches has been doing very well for several months too.

    Cheers,
    Dean

Sales in general typically pick up for me the third or fourth week of September, signaling the end of summer and more people at home on their computers.

Im in diet weight loss niche.

Which is why im surprised. MAYBE... people are trying to lose weight before they go to their job interview!

I can see the make money niche seems like it would be a good one the way the economy is going.

There will always be Bears and Bulls, and unless the dollar completely collapses I don't think you'll see a noticable shift in spending habits.

    Same for me!

I first noticed a pick up after the Olympics ended and it hasn't really stopped.
As Dean stated I am doing quite well in financial markets (outside IM) which i guess has a lot to do with the current economic situation.

Well, it might be the case and I certainly hope it keeps up.

I suspect that the recession is in the eye of the beholder. And Christmas is coming. Woo hoo. Of course, I start saying that on June 24th, much to the chagrin of my wife.

But truth is a lot of money making ideas products do well in perceived recessions. Especially one offs like surveys.

There's a thread over at SitePoint where a bunch of people are talking about fewer sales at their sites recently.

You can't ask a couple dozen people and extrapolate a trend across millions of websites. You're going to have better days than others no matter what you sell.
