Anyone in the Home Secuirty Niche?

I am creating a product for home security since it is my current profession and I was curious if anyone has tried this niche. And if so did you have any luck with it or was it a waste of time. I notice that there are a lot of good keywords to rank for but wasnt sure if its a buying item or just something someone will find info online about?


Also are there any good affiliate programs for or CPA offers for security companies etc?

    There are affiliate programs for nearly everything. If the
    networks don't have offers for this product/service search
    Google or Clusty for electronics or home security sites and
    join the affiliate programs that way.

    I ran a PPC campaign for a home security company here in Fl. The majority of clicks they were getting on their ads were from the commercial side of the business (things like camera surveillance, access control, etc). Those clicks were also converting much higher than the residential side, which probably is due to the real estate market.

    It's a little off-topic, but I used to work in the industry - was really quite fun: remote site management, access control, biometrics, and some funky home/building automation.

    The coolest thing was voice control, and also being able to dial in to your "control unit" on your phone, and use it to control different things, like turning on the air conditioner so when you get home it's nice and cool.

    Then I moved into vehicle tracking and security, and mobile data.

    A facinating field!
