Hi there its been a little while since I last posted I was with some corporate types the other night and the conversation came up about people watching webinar videos!

As I have been out of the game for awhile and they were quite common a few years ago , the ones they were talking about was the set and repeat webinar videos

I.E you post the video via website you host a sales page and when a person clicks on the link they see the video but it looks like other are in the room

Can anyone let me know if this type of setup is still used

Cheers RW

Webinars are still used, but no longer carry the same "special event" anticipatory feeling. The intended audiences have mostly cottoned on that marketing webinars are essentially sales pitches and know that they can nearly always be viewed on replay, if necessary.

So pretending a webinar's live when it's actually pre-recorded is just a little pathetic - if anyone actually does that.

That method is still in use, but trying to pass a video off
as being a live event not so much. Although the videos
could be hosted by an A.I. generated avatar that people
cannot tell the difference between that and a real person.

If you have been out of the game you should brush up
on what is going on, as things are constantly changing,
every couple of weeks there's something new.

Bottom line here is purrtence gonna slay yr ass always.

So many comms media demand you engage with your audience one to one, like each of em' so speshl it is like their parents' reproductive potential brushed aside in favah of divine intervenschwaahn.

With a webinar, you know you poolin' smarts 'longside plenny othah participants -- kinda like high school without the drugs, prostitooshn an' shootings.

Thing is, evry distinctive show-to-audience scenario has its own pertickuler rools.

An' while flexibility of approach is always to be applauded, you gotta keep watch on whenya gettin' overly bendy.

It's still used, and there are several hosting companies that have that option.

But if you post an evergreen video on your website, and try to pass it off as live, you aren't fooling any but the most naive.

The best way to profit from these webinars is to trade webinars with similar marketers who sell the same audiences.

They send an e-mail to their list, with a link to your webinar, and you send their e-mail to your list, with a link to their webinar. You are marketing each other.

This is how literally all real money is made with webinars. Marketing to each other's lists.

And......is you want 40-50% of registrants to show up instead of 15%, you say that there are no replays....and don't do replays.

Instead you send the second link to the non-buyers (of your offer) to an interview that has the same content....and to the non-buyers you have left, send another link to a shortened edited version of your webinar.

More than half the sales will be on the second and third e-mails (with links to the webinar, interview, edited webinar.

You can also simply add content to the front and back of the webinar, and sell it as a workshop. A 90 minute webinar can be easily extended out to a 2 hour workshop.

A guy named Ryan Levesque has plenty of Youtube videos and webinars to use as models, and a few books on the subject, as does Jason Fladien, who is a high figure millionaire from webinars, and is the author of One To Many.

Of course, I'm assuming you are trying to sell something with your webinar.

But just posting your webinar on your own website won't generate much, It has to be sent out to other people's lists to generate real money.

I've read several books by Tom Poland that uses that approach. For less than $100 you can buy and read these books and know everything you need to know, without making all the expensive newbie mistakes that make people quit.
