    cheers Bjarne.

To take this a step further, is there a way to find .gov blogs more specific to a niche?

    thanks guys.

i actually came across the blogs from the u.s. government site this morning but way waaaay too tired to do anything with it.

along with that site, i came across this .edu list (and have started to utilize it)

Does your site that you link back to from the .gov and .edu have to be relevant to yours and theirs to get the Google love that you are looking for?

It's always better to have a like from a relevant site. however, a link is still a link. And from a .gov .edu site, you'll mos def get that google love.

i wouldn't go overboard with the linking though (to irrelevant .gov/edu sites). A few to supplement your other links will definitely help though.

i wouldn't concern too much about do/nofollow. there's been many talk on this and most people i've come across pretty much say that even if a site has a nofollow code you'll most likely still get google love

I think a few Warriors have done some pretty impressive research in the do follow/no follow area. It is my understand that no-follow doesn't really exist any more. YMMV.

I do agree that nofollow is dead line of code. Thankfully that loophole was closed
