"If I just get more eyeballs, I'll get more sales."
Traffic is good. Watching the numbers climb makes you think you're winning. But if the offer stinks, if the message is weak, if the copy misses the nerve... then all you've done is pay for more people to watch you flop.
I've seen campaigns where traffic doubled and sales didn't move. Then we changed one line. Just one. And the whole thing woke up.
Traffic is gas. The message is the spark. No spark, no fire.
So yeah, eyeballs are nice. But only if you give them something worth looking at.
