Wordpress Blogs - Gmail or Email thru Hosting Company?

Just wondering which you WP bloggers out there prefer to use for your email program.

I tried setting up gmail to get emails (admin@mydomainname.com) and it wouldnt work for me. Every time I tried clicking the 'Inbox" icon on the gmail website it said that the website could not be displayed.

I couldnt figure it out so I went back to the Dreamhost email setup.

I would love to hear your experiances with both

      Are you talking about every time you click the inbox icon inside of Gmail it is giving you a website cannot be found error?

  • Eh, I've heard so many different things here. People tell you don't use gmail, but I haven't had a problem. That might just be because I sell things as an affiliate and make my email visible for contact.

    I really don't know here. It's really in your hands to figure out which one you want to work with. I don't feel as it affects your commissions in the end.

    Why should a WP blogger be forced to make a choice between gmail and domain based mail. I don't see why would this be relevant.

    I am collecting messages from different POP3 accounts in my Gmail but it never did anything like what you described.
