To all video marketers. Have you noticed your youtube view counts frozen around the 300 mark? Any ideas as to whats going on, and if there is a fix?

It's never happend to me. I only have one account where basically all my videos get more than 300 views. I've never seen the views get stuck, however.

My newer accounts I need to keep building before I see that amount of views, so I don't know about those.

Yes for some reason YouTube will only show 300 views on first day, however you will see the real count after that.

The main purpose of this is for You Tube to stop inflated views (which I am not a fan of). So if they feel that you have used bots or a program to inflate views, they will leave it at 300 until your real views catches up. On the other other if viral videos like Twiilight New Moon Trailer gets like 1 million views in its first day. It will take into consideration things like how long the video was watched for, how many IP address's and that # of views cannot be faked.

Yeh I understand about inflated views. But my research has shown A LOT of normal people are getting hit with this aswell. But I've also seen some video's which have got 40,000 views in 2 days going along fine.

Does the video have a political message? There are many reports of YT allegedly freezing view counts and even deleting some political videos to keep them out of the most popular rankings. One example is a video called America Rising.

  I have posted videos that have had 3,000+ views for the first day. Never noticed a stop at any mark, but there are "tabulating" delays that may last for 30-60 minutes at the most.
