Nostalgia: Help me remember this internet marketer's name

Probably back in the early 2000s, there was an internet marketer that came on the scene with a bang. He built a persona of being this super rich, successful, egotistical areshole.

Right off the bat many loved it but many more seemed to hate him. But over time, he grew on people.

During his debut he was anonymous but I believe after a while he did actually start showing his real self.

IIRC, his website was TheRich(something).com.

That's all I can remember.

      Mark is right. And the man behind The Rich Jerk was Kelly Felix. The little ebook that he sold made him millions. He had affiliates selling it for him and i distinctly remember Kelly saying he was making over $10k a day at one point.

      i kind of got to know Kelly a little bit when i joined his second big program called 'Bring the Fresh' with Mike Long.

      i really enjoyed it , good stuff

        It was funny seeing all of the copy-cats crop up. Some people suddenly started being obnoxious in an attempt to jump on the band-wagon, some of us just carried on being obnoxious like we always had been

          btw, there is an email marketer who is (according to himself ) wildly successful for many years now. He uses obnoxiousness and even misogyny in his emails to his subscribers. Ben Settle is his name

    Yeah, it was the RICH JERK and I don't think this business or person is around.

    This person might have closed that "name"/business down but probably operates differently under his real name.

    He operated his business through the power of other affiliates all promoting that program when it was around. That is how he probably made all his money.

    You're probably thinking of The Rich Jerk, which was a marketing persona created by Frank Kern in the early 2000s.

    The site was RichJerk.com, and the whole angle was an over-the-top, arrogant "I'm rich and you're not" character. He was anonymous at first, which made it even more controversial, and later revealed himself as Frank Kern. A lot of people hated the persona at first, but it became hugely famous in internet marketing.

      Sorry, Frank Kern wasn't the Rich Jerk. He had other controversial things about him, but he wasn't the Rich Jerk.
