I have seen JV giveaways mentioned various times on the forum as a good source of traffic for your op-in list, but I have never seen a post about how they work. I searched and did not find anything. If I missed it please let me know.

I think I understand, please correct me if I am wrong.

I am comming from the perspective of joining an existing giveaway rather than starting one or puttiong one together.

1. You join the JV giveaway
2. Enter the product you are giving away and your squeeze or opt-in page.
3. You should have an one-time-offer on the download page.
4. You broadcast the giveaway to your list.
5. You list grows when people coming to the giveaway elect to get your free product.

Where is a good place to find out about upcomming giveaways that have openings?

Thanks
Michael Forey

    Hi Micheal,

That is the gist of it.

You should offer a really great gift though... something
that people would be willing to pay for if it weren't free.

The OTO is optional, and I think that it's sometimes
better NOT to have the OTO. In-fact, I don't even
always use a squeeze page, instead inviting people to
join my list only if they want to but not as a condition
    for getting the freebie.

I sell them on my expertise first sometimes.

PM me and I'll point you to a dozen or so free giveaways.

    Willie

      Yep, that's about it []

As for the squeeze page, Willie's idea is worth a try. If you do decide to have one, make sure you let people know they can unsubscribe any time.
