Have you seen the affiliate link disclaimers on any sites?

I would appreciate if anyone can post any sites with the affiliate link disclaimers next to the affiliate links. I have Google Adsense ads, Amazon widgets, CPA ads and affiliate text links on my sites. Apart from the General Disclaimers page, I don't yet have the affiliate disclosure page.

It would be helpful if anyone can post any site that has the affiliate link disclaimers complying with the FTC regulations.

You can take a look at one of mine. It's nothing special, but it does mention affiliate earnings and those of our third party content providers.

Let me know what you think - and pay attention to the red paragraph at the bottom. LOL

    Article Directory - Legal Disclaimers

The affiliate part starts at the 6th paragraph.

Is the disclaimer supposed to be next to the links?!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

    You are very welcome, sir.

I noticed in the OP, it says, "affiliate link disclaimers next to the affiliate links" - does it say somewhere that a disclaimer has to be next to your aff links?

I honestly haven't done a lot of research on this, so I am not sure what the exact placement rules are for your disclaimer.

Anybody know or have documentation on that part of it?

I believe that the requirements state something to the effect that the disclosure must be conspicuously close to the offer links in such a way that the reader will notice it.

I took this to mean that there needs to be disclosure text on every page where there is an affiliate link. I've put one at the bottom of every page and also a clause in my disclaimer page.

From my understanding, you don't have to put a disclaimer next to a link on a blog if you have an easy findable blanket somewhere.

Putting it next to the link comes into play more in social media type situations. So if you tweeted an affiliate link you'd probably want to add "(aff)" next to the link in the tweet.

I think this whole ftc issue will be interesting to watch..as I think they honestly can't enforce it, if they tried then we could easily point out to to the hundreds of made for tv informercials..

you mean to tell me all their testimonials are legit?, or the ad wasn't from an affiliate station etc? I think if the ftc wants to rack down on this they need to be that way accross every media source not just online
