Is This The New Way To Build A List As It Concerns Article Marketing?

Guys, I could be completely wrong about this but I have noticed a trend with marketers on EZA as of late. I noticed that some people instead of getting users to join a opt-in list, they are getting them to join a RSS feed. At the end of the article will be a link for the user to join the RSS and not the traditional Aweber or getresponse list. Are they on to something or what? Just curious.

    Time will tell.

Some of the people I see doing this are simply turning a two-step process into a three-step process.

I'm guessing that in some niches, it's easier to get people to subscribe to an RSS feed because they have more control. Once you get them reading the feed, you can work on getting them onto a list.

On top of that, since RSS is a pull technology, you don't have the same problems with deliverability and spam filters.
