Domain Name question.

Hi, I've recently become an authorized retailer of a popular product. I want to setup a website for it as there arent to many sites for it believe it or not.

bluewidget.com is taken and so is blue-widget.com

I have just registered thebluewidget.com but I don't particularly like it.

What are some other words I can use with bluewidget?

I'm thinking about bluewidgetonline or -online.com I kinda of like those.

Any help would be great. This is or a newer product that is pretty cutting edge and considered amazing by it's users. (Is amazingbluewidget.com) to much?

Thanks!

Dennis

u just have to get creative, it really depends on ur product, i usually use things like "insider, fast, secret etc

    usually the shorter the better

its also preferable if you can fit your keywords into it some how

Should I put "Official" in it anywhere?

I wouldn't. I think that would be an easy way for the main company to get p*ssed off at you.

what about .net or .org? The majority of my sites are .net or .org and they rank as fast and as well as my .com sites.

Note also that you will likely get more responses over on the SEO forum, as this is a topic that comes up about every other day there.

If it is a physical product that I was selling, I might go with bluewidgetshop.com.

The other way to look at it is. If your product keyword is 2 words, find out what the highest searched 3 word related keyword is, and choose that. That way you will almost certainly rank almost automatically for that 3 word keyword, and then you can just do some more SEO work to rank high for the 2 word variety.

So, if "buy blue widget" was the top 3 word search, then go with buybluewidget.com

Thanks for the suggestions. It is a physical product, do you think the conversions would be the same on a .net site as a .com site? Do people look at those any differently?
