Newbie looking for advice

OK, I've been searching for an internet business. I'm not afraid of some hard work. I would like something that will still make money even if I'm not watching 24hr/day (kinda like a coin operated laundry mat). However, if this is not really possible, then something I will allow me to continue to work my 40+ job and do after the kids are in bed. Thanks for the help.

I suggest you start with affiliate marketing. It allows you to promote products on your own time and have traffic roll in even wwhen you are not working. this means you are able to make money while not working.

affiliate marketing is the best way to start with limited time. it will take several weeks or even months to get it going, but once it is, you can make a good income from it.

sign into the forum.....do a search for "cpa" and read as much as you can...then look for a good wso where the ad copy seems to touch a note with what you have read on the forum.

if you just start purchasing wso's about cpa programs there are so many of them you could go broke before you even get started! LOL

you are in the right place you just have to read...read...read...absorb...and as you have....ask questions. the people here are the best! and they will help you.

Ok, my take on this is that you have 2 ways to go. You can either do affiliate marketing and promote some in-demand products; you'll have to educate yourself on how to market, and decide for yourself whether you want to use free or paid advertising.

The 2nd way is to go the product creation route. It doesn't have to be anything long or grand, your first product could be a simple interview with a local business owner, or you could write a short 10-15 page report on something you know about that is in demand.

There are pros and cons to each approach, but I feel that if you're really wanting to get into IM for the long term then you should consider product creation seriously. You can do both at the same time if you'd like. I won't lie to you though - it's going to be difficult and tough initially because the learning curve is steep and you're more than likely to get distracted, so you have to be really serious about this.

On another note, if you can find someone to mentor you that you can model yourself after, you'll be able to accelerate your results much faster.

If you are starting out then the best and the fastest way to kick on would be to head to the WSO forum and pick up a product that has 50+ positive reviews. You'd have to do some digging but it'd be well worth the effort.

Never indulge into Blackhat methods because they're not sustainable & always stick on to things for long periods of time. If you move from one zone to another - then you'll never make it. Develop a specialization and master that zones ...... people always follow the experts ! Become One...

And yes many people are working in 48 hr/weekly jobs and still making a killer - You can do it too. Its just about time management, hard work and patience.

    Best of luck!

If you have good writing skills, you can write articles, short reports and/or ebooks for other people and charge for it. The Warrior For Hire will be a good place to start..

As you can see there are many ways to make an income. If you choose the affiliate route then you need to make the decision of selling physical products or digital. whch will bring you back to the first question to ask yourself.
What do I want to sell?
Just because you might have a passion for something it doesn't mean your passion will sell either. For example I mean that you may like Bug Burgers a lot, and want to start a Bug Burger business. No-one will buy them right? but it is your passion !
Work out what you want to sell, physical or digital, and do research to see if there is a market for it.
There are advantages and disadvantages to physical or digital products, so let's say you find the market and try to work both into it.
If you like photography, you can find a good Digital product on Clickbank . Then build a list and offer some physical products to the same people, such as cameras or tripods fromm Amazon.
It's a long road ahead for you, but start by taking it one step at a time.

I don't know of an online business that has to be watched 24/7, but I am sure there are some out there. You can certainly do business online after you put the kids to bed, and you can make money like a coin-operated car wash or laundry mat. There is a lot of hard work involved. For the most part you have to write. Whether you produce your own product to sell or you sell something of others. The easiet thing to sell (after the kids go to bed) are information products. If the delivery is digital you don't have to mess with an inventory or with mailing.

Start with an affiliate site. A good affiliate program will provide you with all you need to get started (all the written articles and reviews to post on your site). Plus it's relatively inexpensive. You pay for hosting and a domain name and you can get this for less than $25 the first month. You'll want to add an auto-responder to grow a list, around $19 per month. Look in the forum and there is a lot of information about getting started as an affiliate.

After you start making some money you might want to branch off into writing your own products and having people sell them for you as affiliates. There are membership sites, eBooks, all types of things you can do.

Give it a try. If I can be successful at it so can you!

    Hi guys

if i was starting again from scratch and wanted to earn this week (or so i have money in my paypal account by christmas) i would do affiliate marketing via twitter with paydotcom products. Its very easy to set up a twitter account and you can use keywords to get you the hits on twitter even if you dont have a lot of followers.

Also there are a lot of advertising companies that you can use on twitter and even with just one twitter account you can earn $100 on autopilot with a following of 500.

    kind regards

    hey ptldspam,
I have to def. agree with some of the other members here. Affiliate marketing can be very rewarding even if you only have limited time. It isn't going to happen overnight and usually takes several months to really begin to get your business going. The most important thing that you need to understand is that you might never make a penny online if you don't know where to begin and where to get your training from. I've seen ALOT of crap when it comes to marketing training and choosing your training program will be one of the most important steps in your getting started.
    Good Luck
