New window or same window?

INTERNET MARKETING

Which one do you think results more to conversion: Opening the affiliate link to a new window, or same window with your site/blog/minisite/etc.

Hey Mark,

If you are only promoting one affiliate product from your site, then I think that opening in the same window would be appropriate. If you want the visitor to remain on your site to view other offers or join your list by filling out a form then you might want to consider opening in a separate window.

  I always use a new window because I don't want visitors to have to figure out how to get back to my site. It seems to work pretty well.

  As like the others I always do a new window. I do not want them leaving my site, unless they are completely done on my site.
  
  Why go to all the trouble of getting them there and make their visit short.
