eBook Graphics - How Do You Make Them?

How do folks get those cool looking eBook images with your own logo/information on it?

I can't show you an example (I didn't know how to insert it) but you've all seen them, it's a book turned slightly sideways with some graphics on the front and spine.

Is there a cheap or free way to do this? I know I'm sure I can hire someone for a lot of money, but is there a cheaper way? I have Adobe Fireworks and know how to do basic stuff with it.

Many people use photoshop action scripts, like these,

I'm sure you'll get many other posters with a bit more info for fireworks too

  • CoverActionPro is awesome for photoshop!

However, you could get an ecover designed pro for very cheap and to save time, do that! You could spend hours on getting an ecover right, when it costs very little to actually get one designed!

You can use that time and put it into other things!

Just a thought! I have done both, designed my own and paid for it and I would go paid every single time! Only because I know my time is better spent doing other things.

You could get this done for less than $20 and it will be much more professional than you maybe able to do with hours of trying! I know from experience! Graphics do add more value, thats a fact! IMO

  • It's WAY easier to just hire someone to do this for you! Have someone in your toolbox that you can hire for simple graphics jobs. Don't bother doing it yourself.
