Hi Warriors,

It's my 40th birthday today and I've also just passed 6000 posts on this great forum.

To commemorate it I wanted to start a 'Pay It Forward' Thread.

I've done these in the past in various formats and they've been really well received, so hopefully this one will be the same.

With all of the noise that goes on here, it's often difficult for people to really cut through to where the 'real' information about what works is.

There is no 'one' person who has all of the answers and this community is about as close as you can get to a collective IM mind and it's well worth tapping in to.

Along with my 40th birthday has come a lot of reflection about what I'm doing with my life, my time and my energy. I've let my health fall behind, eating at hotels and not getting to the gym enough, so that's a big focus moving forward, but also bringing my music back into the forefront of my life, and ramping up my coaching and consulting business.

In the last month I've sort of started fresh with everything and beginning a new life with IM as an integrated part but not driving it.

I want to be spending most of my time either enjoying myself, helping people - or (preferably) both.

So while I'm starting a drum school and running my coaching and consulting, I have a lot of structure to put in place, which has been lacking for a long time.

Not sure why I'm telling you all of this detail - I guess I'm throwing it out there in case you can relate.

Anyway - I'd like to offer one Warrior a one-hour coaching session (via skype if we're not local, or in person if we are).

This is something I usually charge $297 for and in return, all I want is feedback and for you to pay-it-forward and do something helpful for someone else in the forum.

If you'd like to make an offer in a similar vein - please do. I know there are a lot of people needing help right now and there are limitless ways to help people that don't cost you anything.

The first warrior to respond asking to get the session will get it - whoever it is, also PM me your skype details and we'll set up the session soon.

My next landmark birthday is coming in Feb next year and that's the big 50, eek!

I have also learned a lot from you since I joined WF and agree that anyone getting this tuition from Andy has found a real gold mine.

I would like to pay it forward and I will offer to either install WP with your choice of Theme for you OR better still, if you want to learn how to do that yourself, via FTP and not via "Fantastico" then I will walk you through doing it yourself, so post in this thread first and like Andy, it would be helpful to me to have feedback of some kind and to know that you will do something helpful here as well, so if you already have an idea of what you can do then post it in this thread as well.

Hi Andy

You are a spring chicken compared to me. Congratulations - live long and prosper. It amazes me how many internet marketers are also musicians. Maybe we should have a virtual band.

I can show someone how to get their ebook into a printed book and on sale at amazon.
I have just done this and it was not quite as easy as I thought.

I would love the session with you but I think a newer person should have it.

  Me too (I'm a musician myself). What's up with that? I mean, I've been trying to figure out why, but I really can't. I guess it could have to do with a number of things, though. For instance, musicians are creative people and have a need to create, and I think a lot of what we do as internet marketers meets that need to a certain extent. And being creative certainly helps.

my avatar is almost 6 years old, it was taken when I was 44 in 2004 and had just returned from a 3 week vacation in the States, so I did look way more healthy than normal in that photo LOL

Also, I need a new one because in those six years, the grey problems became so problematic shall we say that I have now gone blonde, which still feels not right, in my head, I am a brunette until I go past a mirror LOL

Happy Birthday Andy,

Folks I have spoken with Andy a number of times on Skype this year and it is no exaggeration to say it has changed my approach to my life and business this year and helped me analyze my only personal choices over the last twelve months and I am deadly serious when I say that. His advice has given me the confidence to open myself up to certain opportunities I would have once missed and I am grateful for the time he gave me.

His advice may not have the same profound effect for you, but aside from the sense he talks, he is a jolly nice chap, so he is definitely worth an hour's worth chin-wag on skype!

Happy birthday Andy, and thank you for all your common sense posts which I'm sure have touched a lot of us over the years.

Good luck with your fresh start. I too am putting IM on the backburner shortly after my birthday this month (another Sagitarian), not giving up IM, just treating it as more of a hobby. Then 2010 will be a year of new experiences and new directions.

Me either - I've been a musician for around 13 years now

I play guitar, bass, piano and record original stuff. I've actually kind of put it all on hold for IM in the last few months - I'm not exaggerating when I say I've picked a guitar up maybe 4 times since the summer.

Hi Andy,

Happy birthday! Great 6001st post!

I'm also 40 years old this year, and also see IM as a wonderful tool for a transition into a much healthier new type of life than my past. Thank you for "throwing it out there," I definitely can relate.

I'm also a musician and one of my goals with IM is to have more time available to enjoy making music, knowing that the IM work has already paid the bills. And paid 'em with a more flexible schedule than any day job could touch.

Is your coaching and consulting in the musical field, or are IM and drumming two different parts of your life?

I think you and Liam should create the December 7 Band, which performs only at Internet marketing conventions.

I'm glad your getting back more into your music after the chat we had the other day in the coffeeshop :-)

I'll admit i've also been messing around with Logic again and doing a few beats.. And hopefully after i get a couple of projects out of the way i can spend more time on it.

Also good luck to the warrior who wins Andy's coaching.. I was lucky enough to of met Andy for a drink at a local coffee shop closeby a couple weeks back and the guy deffo knows his stuff..

  I've learned a lot from you being a "lurker" for several years here and reading much about the IM field. I have implemented many techniques you mentioned in the WF with much success. So I owe you much of my current IM success to you.

  I'm a musician too! I played in a rock band in Chicago for 7 years (guitar/keyboards)....was in a band that backed up a lot of national acts. Along with my performing, now I book national acts in Arizona.

  i would love coaching off somebody but i'm not exactly sure of what direction i am taking yet.
  
  i can't offer anybody any help with IM. i did, however, do dating and confidence coaching in the past. if anybody in the uk is aware of the whole underground pickup thing?
  
  98% of what you read on the internet is absolute bollox. i used to teach more inner game style. if you're in the uk and anywhere near notts i'd be happy to help out and do some coaching for free (although i have a mrs and will not be misbehaving).

Well, 40 is a long way back in my rear view mirror, so I say Happy Birthday to you young man.

I don't have time for consulting, but I like the pay it forward idea, so I'm offering a free copy of my ebook, Free Reports Goldmine (sells for $27.00), to the first three people who are still looking to make their first dollar in IM, have made at least 50 posts (I figure the trolls will have been weeded out by then) and promises to help someone else somewhere down the road.

I'm sorry, but you must have missed my requirement that you must have made at least 50 posts. You've only made 6 posts at the time I found your message.

I made that requirement to ensure I'd be helping someone who has been here a while and has been contributing to the forum, rather than allowing someone who is not a member to quickly join and grab the freebie and run.
