You are always on the lookout for products to promote. And
you must always be finding ways to drive targeted traffic to your website.
Again, once the traffic is gone so is your money. And don't kid yourself.

Affiliate marketing is becoming more and more competitive. To be really
successful you must have your own web site, your own mailing list and in
most cases you must be able to supply content for both of them.

Man! This is almost as hard as creating your own product! Yes it can be.
There are entire courses and e-books devoted to affiliate marketing alone. It
is not as easy as throwing up a link and watching the money come in. If that
were so then everyone would be making money.

The sad fact is that only 5% of a vendor's affiliates make any money. You
know why? Because they treat it like a business. They are willing to work
at it. They are willing to test and track their results. They are willing to put
in the time and effort necessary to succeed. Heck, they are even willing to
spend money on software and information that will help their business!
So let's say you have done what you needed to do and finally found a
"killer" promotion that is working great for you. It brings in money month
    after month.

Suddenly more affiliates catch on and start learning what you
are doing. This dramatically dilutes your efforts and therefore your income.
Your are almost back to square one. Looking for the right product or
information, looking for a profitable niche, looking for the correct keywords
and so on. Unless you enjoy doing this sort of thing and are gifted at it you
can often spend fruitless hours in front of your computer.

You then start becoming impatient. This often leads to jumping from one
promotion to another. Always on the lookout for the proverbial "killer"
    promotion. Sound familiar?
