Commissions not received

Hi all, I recently posted some support questions regarding clickbank in another thread. It was about a customer that purchased a product through one of my affiliate links.
Any way, what happened was the customer didn't receive their product, even though they received a confirmation of their transaction. The customer sent me an email stressing their concerns. So what I did was contacted the appropriate personnel to have the problem fixed. I received an email the next morning specifying that the issue was fixed and the customer received their product. This is great news for the customer, however I didn't get credited for that sale, I've contacted clickbank and the vendor and have not yet received a response.
What can I do about this?

This has made me think a little bit more about all the potential earnings that could of gone through without getting credited.

When I first started as an affiliate, I had something like 500 order form impressions without any order form submits. Now that I understand a little bit more, I think the above description must of been repeated several times without my knowledge. Am I wrong?
Any help greatly appreciated, sincerely, Pierro

There are all manner of things that could have caused your affiliate sale not to be crdited to your account...

Your best course of action is to contact Clickbank to explain your situation.

Although, without any reasonable proof of purchase via your affiliate link (i.e. a video).. you won't have much chance of proving your case.

That may seem harsh, but it's the cold facts of affiliate marketing.

Software could have blocked your cookie for the sale, viruses on the customers computer could have affected the affiliate link... and the list goes on and on.

I'm sorry you have had this happen, but it really is something that we have to overcome/deal with as affiliates.

    Peace

Why did the customer email you about it and not the vendor?

Thanks for the tip jay, but I have the customers details and proof of the sale. At the time clickbank had a problem with their sales alert system, so nothing was recorded in analytics data.
The vendor sent me an email specifying that the customer received their product. I replied to the email about the situation.
So if they know that I was responsible for the sale, how can I not receive any credits? I am confused.
    sincerely, Pierro

Rondo, I am sending them to the sales page and I am aware of certain elements that need tweaking if I were to send them to the order page. They contacted me because they didn't receive their order which is now rectified.
    cheers, Pierro
