domain age - how important
How important is domai age? I have a domain that is indexed on the first page of google (#5 or #6). I should easily be able to be in the first spot with a little work. The domain is 10 years old, but does not contain any keywords (it is just our letters). I just purchased a domain 6 months ago that does contain the keyword. So, i can:
A. Promote a site that has great domain age compared to the other top pages, but does not contain the keywords and is already on page 1 of google
B. Promote a site that has no domain age to speak of, no backlinks (yet), but does contain the keywords.
Other info: The other competing sites (there are only 3 who would actually be trying to rank on purpose) have domain age of at least 10 years and only one of the 3 has any backlinks to speak of, but they aren't actively seeking the backlinks - they have all occurred naturally.
