clickbank own rights to products listed on it?

If you put a product on clickbank, do they own the rights to that product? Ive heard that they have legal rights to the product.

I would like to put the same exact product up for promotion on another site.

      They don't own the rights.

Now, granted, if you DO list with them, you have to agree to certain promotional techniques if you are going to have them collect the money (which is really, all they are doing).

You can still put the product on another site and sell it however you want there.

Basically you are using their merchant account to sell your products so the above is how they get around the regulation of company providing account to them...

Most if not all companies will not let you use your merchant account to process sales from others not on the account.

    thanks guys.

    really appreciate it.

Im moving to creating my own products. I've tried affiliate marketing with no success. And I love creating stuff, so creating my own product is a good fit!

One more quick question: How many sales a day is about average on clickbank?

There are too many factors involved to give an answer to that. A specific Clickbank vendor could calculate their average sales per day over the course of a week, month, 6 months, a year, etc. But there's no broad "average sales per day for Clickbank" data that I know of. That would require Clickbank to survey all their vendors to find out how many sales they make per day and calculate an average. I guess Clickbank themselves might have access to data like that, as far as how many sales they're processing per day. In any case, how many units you sell depends on the demand for your product, your presentation and sales copy, how many affiliates you have and how motivated they are, as well as how skilled they are and how much traffic they drive to your page. Not to mention the quality of your product itself can lead to positive or negative word of mouth and influence potential customers. There's many, many factors involved.

Just curious....if you can't sell someone else's product, why do you think you can sell your own? When you get down to it, the only difference between the two is who owns the product. You still have to get people to your site. Buyers don't magically appear simply because you are the owner. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against being a product owner. I just don't want you to think that's the solution to your problem.

        ummmm,

I would put it on clickbank, and get affiliates.

        and they would send traffic

That number is almost EXACTLY the same as the length of a piece of string.

If you look at the Clickbank Marketplace page, you will see a number at the end of the "stats", called grav. That number will tell you, based on a formula, what the rate of affiliates that are selling the product. Again, this number will tell you, almost nothing. But it is what many use to judge the rate of sales.

Yes, you can freely sell your product on other networks too.
They do not force you to do business solely with them.
But for sales via CB you agree to their Terms.
Therefore I strongly suggest you to read their TOS completely.

Exactly as Harvey said ... CB simply buys your product at a discount from you. They pay you 92.5% of retail, less a dollar. They sell it at retail. They pay the affiliate from your portion of the pay.
