$20 To Fix My Sales Page

by Phil Jacobson 6 replies
I know that there are plenty of people who would offer to do this for me for free, but I have been the recipient of too much free help so far with my site.

(Honestly speaking, most of my posts have been take and very little give.)

I know it's not much but would someone be able to help me with this for say $20 bucks?
If that's not enough, then let me know what you can do for me and how much you charge.

I think the copy is OK but the words look muddled and it needs a makeover.

I am using Joomla with Simpleweb which is great and tried to get some help but coudln't keep up with the jargon.

I've had the site up for a few weeks and it has already made a few sales surprisingly.
I think it has potential. It just looks messy!!!

Any takers.

Thanks!!!!

Phil

    Hi Phil,

    Looks like you need to increase your Line Height Property in your CSS file.

      Sounds like a good idea. Went to the CSS file and couldn't see anything there. I am guessing I have to input some kind of HTML or something, which I am not familiar with.

      Thanks anyway. It solves a piece of the puzzle.

        Hi Phil,

        Here's the code you will need for your css file (you will have to play around with the size to find what you want)

        p

        {
        line-height: 14pt
        }

        Don't worry about the $20 ... I'm happy to help.

          I would still be willing to pay someone who would be willing to bring my site up to par in terms of design.

          I know it still looks amatuerish, but I am limited as to what I can do on my own.

          I would certainly barter with someone, like writing articles or something.

            WAY too much "I" in the copy. Your visitors are thinking WIIFM (what's in it for me). And they want to know FAST or they're leaving.

            I'd lose the mention of DOE and focus specificallly on getting visitors to opt-in to your mini course. You can hit them with your DOE affiliate link on the thank you page after they sign up and/or through your mini course. Or with an exit pop if they don't opt in.

            Focus your copy on why your prospects should care about ezine advertising. Use the A.I.D.A (attention, interest, desire, action)formula in your copy. Your whole goal is to "sell" visitors on opting in. That's it.

              Thanks. That's more than I bargained for. Help with the copy too. I was trying for a "Review Site" approach so I am not sure about leaving out the DOE Link but you have got me thinking.

              I wanted to see it I could tell my story instead of go for the sell sell sell.

              Thanks for the comments.

              Got a couple of PMs from people offering to help me with stuff.
              Totally appreciate that!!
