"I'm hiring you," & "Top 10 Affiliate Tips," type BOGUS subjects

Hi,

I urge others to do as I've done and let ezine publishers know some subjects just aren't making it any longer. Deceit is out big time.

If you have a subject, write it out or don't send out your junk.

Lately, I have received a couple starting with, "I'm hiring you...." and then go off about some product you'll make money off me or something. Ditto with "Top 10 Affiliate Tips," and I click on and get 10 ways on how to save money on groceries and other crap, so I can stick with affiliate marketing during the tough times or other nonsense.

Come on folks. These are from seasoned marketers.

What's the subject of what you are sending? No hype and crap to get clicks, because the next click is Unsubscribe and vents - like this one.

Sheesh!

And don't tell me you're hiring, when I cancel and tell you this is crap. Who isn't hiring here?
Whos isn't trying to save money, too? Who isn't surfing the web?

Are those subject lines? NOOOO

And another one that I've been getting lately is "$998,239,886,210 in 30 days!!!! How he did it - and you can too!" Ugh. Even if the product is a good one, I guess I'm extremely turned off to the hype these days.

  I agree with you...I find that few things will light up your unsubscribes like hypey and deceitful emails.
  
  I mean it's short sighted. For example...say you're stretching and trying to get more open rates. You send out an email and you double your open rate. But then, your list loses 5% of its subscribers. Was it worth it? I seriously doubt it.
  
  Honesty and reputation are WAY more valuable in the long run than BS and quick money.

This is so true...

Then you opt-in, get on their conference call because they promise you to show you a "system", end up being nothing but an extended sales pitch for another paid program. He just wasted 60 min of your time.

I'll hit unsubscribe, delete, and clear trash bin.

  You are so right! I used to be more accepting and would give people a chance by opening their emails and at least checking out what they had to say. But lately I'm so fed up with all of the fake and hype in the emails I'm receiving from everybody--gurus and non-gurus alike. I hardly open any of them unless the person is someone whose opinion I truly respect.
  
  If these list owners only realized that those subjects will never get me to open their emails. I don't even want to take the time to open them and unsubscribe. I just hit "Delete."

  I get irritated when I get the same email subject line from a dozen different affiliates and it sthe same letter. And the subject line stinks. I used to tally them up to see which product could send the most drivel, after I ran through a ram of paper with no clear cut winner, I stopped counting.

  Yes, I have seen this before. Although not too often, but it happens.
  
  Article writers, need to understand that web surfers are not stupid. They know how to read. That's why they came to the ezine in the first place. As a reader myself, if I see that the headline does not match the content, the first thing I am going to do is delete the article and move on to a more informative article that provides value.
  
  If your main objective to posting articles on Ezines is to get someone to click on your link then the content has to be worthwhile. This is elementary.
  
  I don't understand what the motive would be to submit crap content and a title that doesn't match. Or... is this just laziness? Obviously something that I don't understand.

  And Jenny, JM and others -- all above - - glad you have had enough, too.
  
  And Christie, no idea. When I asked this particular newsletter sender, he said something akin to (don't want to quote his email) the fact that he DID have jobs posted (of course layers deep on some web page...linked through some link within a link within the newsletter eventually, I think....
  
  Issue with this is this: Did I ever sign up for your jobs board? No, I signed up for an IM ezine. Did the newsletter even discuss jobs or anything? Were you even hiring me, as the subject pointed out, as a personal message, perhaps? No, no, no.... totally 100% +++ misleading. And then to play stupid when I call you out on this crap doesn't wash.
  
  I don't spam everyone when I post the tiniest tidbit on a web page then use it as a subject that goes with nothing in my newsletter. Do the same courtesy. Or quit "marketing" that isn't and is really spamming us.
  
  If you want to post jobs and hire people, do it right. Don't play games and try to make us think you're doing us a favor that you're not and everyone knows. And stop playing dumb.
  
  Get real, or get out.
  
  Christie, I agree with you: we are not stupid, and it's time more internet marketers, especially those who should darn well know better by now - - stop treating us as such. It's insulting. Send that crap to your grandma, kids and other relatives and loved ones, I say to them. Get THEIR feedback.
  
  But stop the game-playing and acting stupid. It doesn't fit your wealth pattern If you truly were that stupid, I'd doubt you get that far in your business. But who knows.....ask your grandma, spouse, and others who really know you, I guess....

Its because we all push the line "make a list and you will make a gazillion dollars". so people built up the list and bombard with offers to get there gazillion dollars
