How I went from $0 to $50 A Day In 1 Month - Step by Step

Hi Warriors,

I have been making a very consistent income online now for the past several months and this forum has been so great to me that I feel I need give back by writing this to help anyone who is will to do some work. Prior to that my internet income was very inconsistent. The reason for this was traffic and a building a subscriber list.

Here is what I did to go from making a very inconsistent income to making over $100+ several days a month in my clickbank account. Check out the proof here...

http://internet-business-world.com/images/earnings2.JPG

The total from this snapshot is $1484.83 and it is for 11/11/09 to 12/9/09 so, 28 days. This totals approximately $53 per day online! But guess what, that is just one clickbank account. I have others and I also do other promotions such as this one where I made $492.50 in 2 days...

http://internet-business-world.com/images/aff2.JPG

Ok, now on to exactly what I did to accomplish this.

Step 1 - I created a valueable ebook and made a sales page for it.

Step 2 - I built a squeeze page that would give this ebook away for free in exchange for someones name and email address.

Step 3 - I started building a subscriber list. Now, there are tons of ways to go about this, but what I did was start writing articles and put a link to my squeeze page at the end of every article. I wrote 20 articles a day for 2 weeks - Yes, this took alot of time, but well worth it.

Here is where I posted the articles:

ezinearticles.com
goarticles.com
hubpages.com
squidoo.com
usfreeads.com

Tip: obviously you have to do some keyword research. I am not sure what niche you are in but I used the google keyword tool and I'm sure you have heard it before, go back to google and put your keyword in " " and see how many results there are. If there are 10,000 or less then this is a good keyword to write your article around.

Step 4 - I gained about 500 subscribers within 2 weeks. This will obviously vary depending on how many and how often you write articles.

Step 5 - I contacted other marketers and started doing adswaps

If you don't know what adswaps are then check out my free ebook and get more information.

Prior to doing this I only made about $250-300 a month writing articles and just sending the traffic straight to the affiliate link. While this does work, it is not consistent and you would really need to write 50+ articles a day in order to make a decent income in my opinion, my way is much easier.

    Hi Jonathan,

That is true to what I have found too. But, don't be mislead, the most important part of building a list is to build a relationship with your list. You can't just blast out emails asking them to buy every ebook that comes out, that would probably not make much money.

I built a list of over 1200 by giving away an eBook from a PLR membership site and sending out Emails to safelists. It took about 6 months to build that list.
Unfortunately, I never followed up and only made about $200 from the list. My problem, I felt shy to solicit them with other Affiliate products. I felt sorry to disturb them with my Emails, especially a small number will always unsubscribe after each campaign. It made me uneasy. I suppose I need to toughen up a bid. I noticed those Guru Email me several times a day regularly, so I must do the same if I am to be successful in this game?

Yes, I believe you. You can definitely build a list and make money.

I've only reached the step in which I'd have to build a squeeze page. That has been the biggest obstacle for me. Try as I might after all these months, I still don't have one.

And I've also had some 50-plus articles accepted by ezinearticles.com --- my next step is focusing more on an aspect of writing that I have some experience with and offering a free report. But that won't be possible until I have a squeeze page created and "live." Til then, I'm stuck in a rut.

20 articles isn't a lot of articles if you do it full-time. I recently quit my job to go full-time, and I will tell you I can easily write 20 articles a day if I am writing shorter articles. I couldn't do this before I quit my job, but it gets a lot easier as you write more and more articles. Ezine's minimum word count is 250 words. Once you have some experience, you can write a 250 word article in 10 minutes or less. Even if you need to write longer articles greater than 400 words, it is still possible to pump out 15 articles a day.

Great job! It just shows that with a little ingenuity and hard work, it is still possible to start generating almost full-time income on the internet in a few weeks with hardly any money at all, something that CANNOT be said for just about any other business! I know many people are going to cringe about the article writing, but my advice is to just plunge into it - the less you think and analyze (which leads to irreversible hesitation), the better it'll be for you!

    That's wicked mate... well done.

I gotta question (if it's ok?). Something I've been thinking about playing with.

Do you have all your emails set and ready to go or do your try to do them a week or month in advance? Just that pre-set for the next 52 weeks is quite impersonal and can start to date (if you're promoting older stuff) or setting them up weekly or monthly means you keep up with hot topics and launche?

    Cheers!

I am also looking for a way of doing something like this.

Now, my question is: how did you build the squeeze page? what program did you use?

After getting 500 subscribers, what are you selling them and how do you build relationships with them?

Where do you get traffic to your squeeze page?

      Thanks

      Al,

I have a few preset emails to go out to my list that offer more guidance and a few more valueable ebooks and reports. I do NOT have 52 weeks of emails pre set to go out.

You are right, it is better to keep your list informed with new info not dated material.

It works, just letting you know.

Anyway, don't stress so much about the squeeze page. Just put in a good title and information on why they should supply their email.

Article marketing works great, then you can take your profits and throw up some banners!

Just wanted to say guys, if you really want to make money this strategy works. You can also try owning your own product instead of linking to an affiliate.

Theory: 20 articles in 8 hours means exactly one article every 24 minutes.

      - 10 minutes to research and assemble ideas
      - 14 minutes to actually write it all and tie it up like a nice 300 words article.

It's funny but my sticking point is writing those SHORT articles. I have such a creative mind that I tend to write DEEP articles that end up being 2 or three pages long (the longest one being 13 pages long). And, no I cannot easily break them down into small articles afterwards. That would break the logical flow... especially as I like demonstrations and lists...

I would love to be able to control my creativity and create short articles. Maybe one option should be to post summaries of my big a*** articles... They could be teasers that I publish on sites with high traffic, then, the link would point back to my site for the detailed version...

      (Ok, enough writing for now...!)

        Hi

Writing is certainly not my strong point either.
I would think you could get 20 keyword rich articles written by a good writer on elance.
You could get a price for 20 articles and I would think that this would be a better use of my time. I could be researching other keywords while someone else is writing.

I have to admit this is really interesting--gets me thinking about my current strategy. How the devil do you come up with subject matter for the articles? That's the major challenge I run into. I can build sites no problem, so a squeeze box isn't an issue, nor is a sales page. I can also write well enough (I've been told I write really engaging pieces) that I can keep short, but even being in my industry for years I'm struggling to come up with additional article subjects. Any suggestions?

    b.super,

How come in your free e-book it says that you gained about 300 subscribers by writing about 50 articles over a period of 2 weeks, and in your post here it says you gained 500 subscribers by writing 20 articles/day over a period of 2 weeks?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[1505105].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author b.super13
Shoaib - I only wrote articles in the beginning - first 2 weeks. I wrote 50 articles and submitted them ezinearticles.com and 200+ that I submitted to other article directories. After all, I didn't submit the same article to all directories, I think you get penalized for that for duplicate content.

So, all in all, I wrote about 250+ articles in 2 weeks. 250 even / 14 days is 17 per day. I guess I was just being lazy and rounding the numbers that I remember.

17 or 20 articles a day is not that tough. I limit my articles to 250-275 words, which is what is required by ezinearticles.

    Here is what I do:

again, this is approximate and I am rounding

30 minutes in the morning - keyword research. I look for longtailed keywords that do not have much competition.

I write down approx 20 keywords - sometimes more sometimes less, depends on the niche and the keyword that you started with.

I start with the first one and use the keyword in the title of the article and a few times in the article and move on to the next until I have written about 20 articles.

Yes, writing articles does take time, but if you can learn to limit yourself to 250 words and to just type it gets faster. I can write a 250 word article in about 10 minutes these days. Is it the best article I have ever written, no, but it will get me some traffic and subscribers.

Again, I do not do this every day, I just did in the beginning so I could get myself a respectable list of subscribers so I could then approach other marketers and ask about doing ad swaps, this is where the big time subscribers started coming in.

Here are some screenshots I took back in June showing how many subscribers I was
getting on a daily and weekly basis:

lisnafillon, you are absolutely right. It would save a ton of time to outsource the articles which is what many people do. However, in the beginning, I didn't have alot of extra cash to outsource 20 articles a day so I just had to buckle down and write them myself. Very good point though. If you can afford to outsource your article writing then by all means, I would do that too.

      DGMG,

I would take approx 20 keywords, again, sometimes more, sometimes less, and I would write a unique article around each keyword. The only thing I would save would be my resource box which is always the same.

      Something like

Find out step by step how you can make $50+ a day on Clickbank in the next month and get your free money making ebook package, visit yoursite.com

Yes, the articles were similar but not exactly the same. For instance if 2 of my keywords were

      how to make money blogging
how to make money as a blogger

These are very similar keywords so the content would be similar yes, but I did not just change the title.

That is not exactly it, but something to that degree.

I'm a bit of an anal perfectionist when it comes to writing, so 20 articles a day is physically impossible for me, but cranking out 5 500-word (or 10 250 word) is definitely doable >

Never underestimate the power of THE LIST...

Also, with EZA, if you write articles that are short, you need to keep them short so that your resource link is visible above the fold or at least very near the fold. If not, the reader may not get to your link or get bored with reading and never see it. You just put very good points to make the article valuable and then your resource box link sends them to the additional information aka your money site. My short articles always outperform my long articles in regard to CTR and clicks on my sites.

This is how I've always operated. Find a plan that works, take action, and keep at it until you get there.

How do you know what plan works? Find someone who's already there and duplicate what they do.

      TheLablo,

If you have 20 similar keywords then you can write 20 unique articles. I take each paragraph and just tweak it a little bit. Here is an example:

Keyword 1 - How To Make Money As A Blogger
Keyword 2 - Make Money Online Blogging

      Paragraph 1 for Keyword 1

If you want to know how to make money as a blogger then read this entire article and you will find out exactly how. Blogging has become very popular over the past few years and if you write unique content then you can probably get some followers to read your blog every time you have a new post. What this does is get you traffic every time you post on your blog. In order to make money you just need a product to sell on your blog that is related to your blog topic.

      Paragraph 1 for Keyword 2

Have you been trying to make money online blogging? This is a very good way to make money online because blogging has become so popular over the past several years. If you can find a niche that people are interested in and provide them with unique content then they will come back again and again to read your blog and this mean you will start to build traffic to your blog. In order to make money online blogging you need a product to sell on your blog that your readers would be interested in. If you blog about fly fishing, maybe you can sell guide on the best fly fishing techniques.

Those paragraphs are similar yet unique because they are not exactly the same. I do this with each paragraph. So, basically, I just have to come up with 1 good article and then tweak it for each keyword and just change the words in the sentences around a bit. It takes practice but it works for me.

Do you submit all articles (even when they're very similar) under the same name, or do you have more than one EZA account?

    Wow, great info b.super13!
If you don't mind, I'll appreciate some clarification with this...

When you say 20 articles a day X 2 weeks, do you mean 280 articles on the same niche?
How many niches are you approaching at once for the $50 a day income average?
It seems like a lot of work for just one person... are you getting help writing the articles?
And, are you submitting every article to those five sites you mention? See, I still have doubts about this... some say that would be considered duplicate content and the SE's don't see that with good 'eyes'...

I thank you in advance for answering my questions.
Much success to you, and thanks for sharing!

If I am not wrong. usfreeads.com uses nofollow, also hubpages is nofollow. The other three are plus max. Google loves fresh content and it will look to see if your blog is updated daily.
