My evil plan has been rumbled.

This is how I make money from giving away a free book
and not requesting a sign-up.

Someone has just told me:

This book has an error in it, and I suspect this is the
plan. To get my email in this Op-in box, after all the
hype about not getting my email.

I also supect that this is the way that you are bringing in
the ox to the slaughter.

Hype about a product and then you cant even
read it, because the link at the end doesnt work, so the
people submit an error ticket and then you get email
address.

Clever, and I didnt fall for it, but I wanted to
let you know that I figured it out.

I got ragged on by some here for mentioning something similar a few weeks ago. Have you noticed if you're on a lot of IM email lists how many of them have taken to sending an email, then sending a follow-up a few minutes or an hour or so later with "Oops" or "My bad" in the subject line, claiming they made a mistake and messed up the link in the first email? This has become a freaking epidemic lately, and it's sad. Do a better job and you won't have to trick people into opening your emails.

Actually, I did that for real a couple weeks ago.

Sent out an eMail to my list, that I thought was hungry for the product.

No sales, but an unusually high number of spam complaints.

Turned out, I had put in a link to an entirely different product in a completely different niche...

So, then I had to send out an "oops!" message...

This once happened to me, but it was because someone was using an old version of freeview.

There was also the guy who claimed my report had made him vomit because the cover was so garish...

Well I'm going to forget about Adsense and Article Marketing and all that stuff.

THIS is now my new business model.
