How to Monetize a site having over 1k hits a day

Hello warriors,

I would like to know how to monetize a site having over 1k of unique visitors a day and growing. I do have adsense. Which do bring in a couple of dollars a day like 5-10.
But is there any other means. I have heard of cpm networks. which pays for impressions. i may be wrong. Got a bit confused in reading a lot. do comment

    You can try interstitial ads? Sometimes you get interstitial CPA ads. They rock but are only allowed on sites with good traffic.

        YouYield.com is one network but definitely not the only one.
        Just Google around and you will find quite a couple. I think adbrite also has it....not sure though.

    1K unique visitors per day? That's excellent traffic! Without a doubt, I'd at least put a lead capture box on there somewhere above the fold. Give away a simple little free report related to the topic and build you a nice big list. Even a lousy opt-in rate will net you a lot of subscribers in a hurry with 1K visitors per day coming in.

    Use Aweber so your follow-up emails get delivered at a high percentage. Spend some time putting together a nice series of follow-up emails to build some rapport with your list members. Then start working in some CPA or affiliate offers to earn some commissions. Just be careful not to screw the pooch by sending them offers for lame stuff. It needs to be really good stuff when you're asking them to spend money on your recommendation. Otherwise you'll sour your list in a hurry.

      That`s what I was going to say also.

      It would be also nice to know Where your traffic is coming from...

      I mean, is it quality traffic?

      You can get lots of hits to your sites using something like safelists and traffic exchanges but the question is: how good your traffic converts?

        My God, what has happened to marketing 101 around this joint?

        A site that gets 1000 hits a day.....and rather then figuring out WHY they're showing up.... and selling them something.....most would rather just focus on the traffic aspect.

        And sorry Adsense aint gonna do it for you'se.....it's a small crumb.

        And why is it that no one ever mentions what the hell it is they are selling???

        Probably because the offer...the product.....never seems too important around here anymore....just creating traffic. Sadder yet...in today's IM world....no one teaches the fact that in order to make serious "jack" you really do have to actually get people to bang credit cards. Capiche!!!!

        Well....I have a phone book on my desk......with thousands of names in it...so to me traffic is a dime a dozen. Or in the case of my phone book...it's friggin' free.

        YOU MONETIZE YOUR SITE.....BY FINDING OUT WHAT THE HELL THE PEOPLE COMING TO YOUR SITE ARE INTERESTED IN.....AND THEN YOU SELL THEM SOMETHING!

        I don't care if it's your product or somebody else's.......sell something! Traffic alone means jack ****....if you aint got nobody buyin' anthing.

        But apparantly......this entire thread....has little concern over that......which for some reason...is no shock to me.

        Ass backwards marketing at it's finest...or in this case it's worst.

        Un-friggin-believable!

    Have you considered Adsense, it might be a good idea to try it out.

    With Adsense traffic can sometimes = $$

    Do you have a product for sale or is it just adsense? Get rid of the adsense when you are ready to sell a product, put in a squeeze page to capture their emails and build your list. The money is in the list

    no product to sell ... but i give some quality info in it. and adsence is the only ads now. I am expecting the site to grow ..was wondering how to monetize apart from adsence. sqeeze page need to to a study on tht.
    i thot it would be easy to place some networks high paying ads banner or cpms to the site.

      i am already with cpalead their surveys are pretty hard. would like to explore adscendmedia but they dont accept be for some reason.

    It depends on the topic of your site. What's it about?

    The list building advice however is beneficial for any topic.

    It would help to answer your question if you can share the general niche. However, having an opt in box and treating your list like they matter will go a long way. I also suggest creating your own quality product.
