Stock Exercise Photos?

by Justin Jordan 13 replies
My new product is fitness related, and I'd like to have photos of the various exercises. I have an artist I could have illustrate this, but it might be cheaper and defrinitely faster to use stock instructional photos.

Anybody know where to get some?

Recommendations would be appreciated.

Dreamstime.com has stock photos at excellent prices, I don't know if you will find exactly what you are looking for there; I just tried searching on bicep curls and tricep kickbacks as examples and got some results showing the up and down part of the movement, you might have some luck there depending on the complexity of the exercises you are looking for.

Another thought would be finding amateur video on Youtube of people performing the exercises and offering to buy their content, embedding their videos in your document or doing screencaps.

    Just some thoughts

I think you should do what I do:

Hire a fitness trainer that is very attractive off craigslist and do a shoot with her (or him)

I considered it, but the time involved in doing it to my satisfaction is kind of prohibitive. I haven't ruled it out, but I'm looking for cheaper and faster if I can.

If you're not attractive too, you should hire two trainers

      LOL!

Or better yet, do a before (with someone not as attractive) & after!

Sorry about that, but it probably would work.

I have an ebook I'm writing on the subject and I'm just videotaping myself. Good luck with your project.

I don't see why it would take much longer to take your own photos with a digital camera than try to track down the exact poses you want. It's not like you want shots of the sun rising over the pyramids of Egypt or something.

If anything, it might be quicker. With your own photos, you get exactly the shot you want.
