A Firefox Problem - Anyone Else Experiencing This?

Good evening Warriors!

I've recently updated Firefox to version 3.0.3, and since doing so, I can't play any video content in the browser at all - whereas it's all working fine in IE.

Even YouTube videos will not play (for longer than 2 seconds anyway), and the video on the Mozilla site itself.

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any suggestions?!

Kevin

...hmm figured it was just me...
Yes I have experienced this as well, figured it was a screwed up extension or something and haven't bothered looking into it further?

I'm glad it's not just me then!

I have just spent a good hour or so trying to sort out the problem, and reading the FAQ section on Mozilla website to no avail. Still getting the problem on every single video I try to play.

Looks like I'm going to have to go back to IE then!!!!!!!

when I did try, finally opened up good old ie, and not the slightest
problem at all. (But then did close it and go back to ff.)

I'm on FF 3.0.3 on OS X, 10.5.4, and videos are working w/ no problem. Must be a Winders thing. What version of Windows are y'all on??

I am not having that exact issue but I am getting a "Firefox has stopped working, submit a crash report" almost every time I close FF after my update. I have still not found a fix for that issue.

I had the same problem about a month ago and it just fixed itself after an update and haven't had a problem since.

You can have to delete your profile - (along with your bookmarks and extensions) to get rid of that problem.

You can save your bookmarks using foxmarks(Home | Foxmarks)

To delete your profile type this in the run window or command window

    firefox -p

When the profile manager shows, delete the default profile and create a new profile and make it default. Reinstall foxmarks to get your bookmarks back.
