Hi Warriors,

I just purchased T I M E E S T.C O M less than an hour ago.

Any suggestions on how this domain and site might be monetized if you were in my position?

Cheers!

  • I assume your site will be a time zone converter?

    If so...I'd say Adsense or any other nice CPA offer might be a good idea.
  • Hey buddy,

    Appreciate your inputs.

    Anyone else have suggestions?
  • try SEO [Search Engine Optimization]. It's gonna improve the traffic in your site. More traffic, more money. =)
  • As RGallowitz said, seems to be a
    time telling site. Adsense or direct
    ads will do the job for you.
  • If you are doing a time showing site, i recommend you use ad sense or sell ad spots directly.

    • When I think about why someone would want to know what time it is in another time zone, I think about a few affiliate/CPA areas:

      - Travel (all the usual, including airlines, discounters, car hire, hotels, etc.)
      - Phone calls (telephones, phone services, pay-as-you-go options for intercontinental travelers)
      - Customer service calls (that's not so easy to monetize, though I'm sure there are reports on getting the most from customer service, which phone key to push to reach a real live person, etc.)
      - Gift services in that time zone (if they're calling a friend or family member there, the caller may want to send them a gift from a local company)
      - Watches/clocks/maps that show multiple time zones

      I'd also focus on what's actually in the EST zone, particularly for travel destinations. Orlando (Disney World, Universal, Sea World), NYC, Washington (DC) all come to mind, along with New England (beaches, foliage, skiing, history).

      I hope that helps, and that domain name earns you some great income!

  • As an associate (affiliate) you can link to some Amazon products that are related. Maybe watches that display different timezones?

    • You could linkbait:

      Provide a clock that people put onto their sites to show time in their local area.

      <script src="http://www.yourdomain.com/clock.js?zone=NYC">
      </script>
      <a href="http://www.yourdomain.com">Powered by XXXX</a>

      With terms to say they must link if they use it.

      This won't directly make you money but get you more visitors and PR juice.
  • I would say adsense or travel ads would be the best.

    If I'm looking for the time in a certain area I'm more than likely either just browsing aimlessly or looking to visit there at some point.

    ex.) I LOVE IT IN TAHITI!!
  • One more Quick idea for you! On the mention of watches and clocks, play around with misc. clock/watch related keywords and Google's Wonder wheel etc... Pay close attention to specialty retailers and products for monetization possibilities & opportunities...
    clock kits - Google Search

    • Hi Kelvin

      I would suggest getting adsense and maybe books etc from amazon as an amazon associate and promote on your domain.
