Should I Launch The Week Before Christmas?

Hey guys,

So my big package is finally ready to launch.

I have affiliates lined up ready to go!

I was thinking about planning the launch for this coming week and then I realized that this is the week before Christmas.

With Christmas people check their email less. They are tapped out financially from buying presents. And there are tons of distractions during this time of year.

Am I better off launching during the first week of Jan?

Thanks for your thoughts in advance!

~Sean

I would think so. It's been my experience that this is a pretty slow time of the year unless you're selling Christmas stuff.

      Hi Sean

In my experience I would suggest you hold your launch till at least Mid January. Everyones mind is on Christmas and won't want to spend any money on anything else even it is on something that will make them money.
I would suggest they will be more receptive to it in the new year, when they will be interested to know how to make money.

If you were Frank Kern you could get away with launching on Christmas day.lol It might be wise to launch after January 1st as mentioned above unless it's Christmas related simply because so many people in the IM niche kinda start taking some time off. Well, I know I do...

      Cheers,

Depends on what you are launching .

I would not launch anything for sale right now .

Why not launch a teaser to get more people to actually launch to ?

If it is some type of self improvement product the days after is not a bad thing .

There ya go. I would be wary of launching when everyone else is lunching and shopping. I know personally I'll probably have more time on the computer, but hold off buying anything until I get Christmas out of my head.

Unfortunately i think you guys might be right!

I ended up in the same situation, but have decided in the meantime to offer some free content to help get things going before i make a good effort to make a bit of a splash throughout and towards the end of January!

      Cheers and good luck

November - February have been the slowest months in each of my niches for years.

I wouldn't think twice about doing a small launch during this period, but something big needs to wait until at least March.. in just my own personal experience, others might have different results.

You could do a mini launch but don't go 100% until you know the market will responsive.

In December people are focusing, and spending on the Holidays, during January many are still feeling the pinch from Christmas - but there's always the rush to offline sales in early January that encourage extra spending, which, in my experience, leaves a little less for the online/info product markets.

Really I guess it comes down to need. If you don't need to launch right now, don't.
