What are 'Spin-Formatted' Articles?

I hope I'm in the right forum to post this question. I have searched everywhere and can't find a definition for 'spin formatted article.'

I just got an email from Jonathan Leger about posting weight loss articles on one of his blogs.

The articles must be spin-formatted - whatever on earth that means.

2. Each article must be SPIN-FORMATTED:

If you don't know what I mean when I say "spin-formatted", then
don't post to the blog -- your post will not be accepted when
reviewed.
Okay, so I won't post.

I have some original weight loss articles, but apparently they aren't acceptable.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how to 'spin-format' an article?

Thats {weird|strange} normally I wouldn't expect a blog or website to {need|require} you to have a spin formatted article, where words are split into two or three or more {alternatives|options|choices} from which a number of "unique" random articles can be {created|made|generated}.

The best way I know how to explain this is to rewrite (spin) the content of one article using different words to convey the same meaning. The spinning (rewriting) of content should be done sentence by sentence.

There are "content spinner" apps or software on the market, but most of them do not do a good job in creating sentences that actually make sense when read by humans.

I've seen where people are asking for this type of specific content lately, but I'm not sure why they would do so instead of asking for original content. This makes no sense to me because it comes down to readability for my visitors as well as for the SEs.

Spin format ready can mean {crappy way to spin|not good for spinning|human spun is 100% better} <--- Not how I would do but that is me.. It is an article that is already set for spinning though. What many do not realize is that not all systems are the same and not everyone uses {|} ...

Here is an example of the crappy way (yep that is my opinion which I have the right to)

{Affiliate marketing is considered an easy way for affiliates and merchants to make money online automatically~One excellent way to make steady money online is through affiliate marketing~A good number of merchants and affiliates alike regard affiliate marketing as a great method for achieving a steady and reliable income}. {However, not every affiliate marketing campaign is successful~Still, affiliate marketing is not for the faint of heart~Of course, affiliate marketing is not without its challenges~However, not everyone who enters into the affiliate marketing business will achieve the success they desire}. {Whether you're a potential affiliate or a merchant, it's important that you first understand some of the more common affiliate marketing mistakes and how to avoid them~Affiliates and merchants both need to do their best to avoid the following affiliate marketing mistakes~Below are some common affiliate marketing mistakes that need to be considered by all parties involved before entering into the business altogether}.

Lol James, I rest my case!

I hate spinners cause they never seem to make sense to anyone who reads content that is spun by them.

Here's an example. I got this "spin ready" spam comment posted to about a dozen of my blogs today

{hi|hello|howdy|greetings|gooday} there, i just {stumbled|came across|discovered|found|saw} your {blog|website|site|web portal} via {google|yahoo|bing}, and i must say that you write {exceptionally|pretty|interestingly|awesomely} {well|good} on your {blog|website|site|web portal}. i am really {impressed|taken|moved|motivated|struck} by the {way|mode|method} that you write, and the {content|message|subject} is {superb|good|great|quality|excellent}. {anyway|anyhow|anyways|in any event|in any case}, i would also like to know whether you would like to exchange links with my {blog|website|site|web portal}? i will be more than {happy|willing} to reciprocate and {put|enter|insert|drop} your link off in the {link exchange area|blogroll|link section}. {waiting|looking|anticipating} for your {reply|answer|response|respond}, thanks and {cheers|have a great day|enjoy your day|gooday}!
The bottom line, if you're going to spin and spam, at least make sure you turn on the spinner!

LOL... James, I could not agree more. I too have a human spinner... LOL

Actually, my article writer takes the time to manually spin the articles and place them in that particular format. She usually makes sure that each and every spun sentence makes sense with the prior or following sentence.

If you use a spinner and a service like jetspinner, then sometimes it is best to write them yourself so you can follow the flow of the text. Otherwise, many spinners create jibberish with synomyns that do not make sense. Just use the above example and you'll be fine.

The only spinners that make any sense to me are the human generated spinners where you take the seed article and rewrite 3 or four new versions of each sentence and let the spinner engine do its magic to give you new versions.

If you Google "spin formatted text", I think you will find perhaps 90% of the results
reference John Leger's expensive program "The Best Spinner". I have not used it
but you can find scads of people claiming it is the best thing ever.

Does anyone know of other "spinners" which produce "spin formatted" results which
can be fed directly into programs such as "Unique Article Wizard"?

I wonder if some of the "anti-spinners" hereabouts may be like yogi Berra when he
said: "I have no experience with that - all of it bad."

At their worst these "articles" if we can call them that, look like a "word salad" written by a psychotic just released by a hospital for the completely insane. At their best they appear to be the humorous attempts by an ESL to write in the English language and fail max epic.

When you put a delimiter e.g. {[| ~to words/sentence so the spinner can read and spin the article.

But why would he want a spin-formatted article in his blog?

Related question: I got a request for a backlink from a blog that is largely spun articles. There seem to be many other websites linked from this site; should I having this site link to me? Or, in other words, is any link better than no link?

      Hey Michael,

That depends really. Were the articles that jibberish junk or do they look like they've been spun by a human. That is what makes the diference to me.

If the content is simply jiberish, common sense says that site won't be worth it in the end. The main question to ask yourself is, do I want my website associated with that site or not? I think of image a lot and what I look like to my readers ... well, and the SEs too.

Spun writing is basically "keyword stuffing". They repeat the same terms throughout a piece believing they will improve their Google rank - Google is on to it and will actually actually penalize a website for doing this.

People that write this way are morons.

It does seem that spinning content, is not particularly good content but it really depends on how much spinning occurs, I mean if you have fresh real content, but it makes no sense, then what good is it, google will kick your teeth in over spun content, so really it sort of is a bad thing, but used in the right way it might be good, if you put a little effort into the content, who knows it might work out,

I think where people get into trouble is that they spin but never really take a look at the article that was produced, like on another thread here about SEO content, spun articles, that are not human readable well that kind of content is what most of the complaints are all about.

Just a thought or two, )

Would not reccommend doing this, for the sake of taking 10 minutes of your time to write your own content it is far more valueable in the eyes of search engines for all content to always be unique.
