Go Daddy Hosting Coupons 2009 - Promo-Code.net

Not my site, need to give credit where it is due.

I just bought a dot net for a dollar and 17 cents total, but this is good for dot coms, etc.

It's working now!

Have fun!

Thanks, Jill. I've already used that .99 deal from another thread and you are only allowed one per customer but I bookmarked the site.

I wouldn't take a domain from GD if they paid me. I have had horrible experiences with them. They overcharge for everything. Renewals will cost you like crazy. They charge an outrageous amount for whois protection. Their customer service is horrible.

I wouldn't recommend GD to my worst enemy. And I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Sorry to hear that. They have a domain club that actually automatically saves one a ton of money if you are getting lots of domains.

Also, when you buy 5 domains in one shot from them, you get the whois protection free on all of them for the first year.

I don't the think the domain club gets you any cheaper than the everyday $6.95 + ICANN coupons that are out there, but I could be wrong.

I think you have to register more than 100 at once to beat that price.

I felt the same way after multiple problems with them. Then, I had a big headache with Namecheap. It was eventually resolved, and I still use Namecheap, so I gave GD another try.

So far, it looks like they learned from past mistakes. I have no complaints right now, but -- like everything online -- nothing remains constant.

That said, a 99 cent domain seems like a worthwhile deal... at GD or anywhere, as long as you can transfer it if the domain turns out to be profitable.

I've never had an issue with GoDaddy domains. I only buy their domains and none of the other stuff they upsell, though. I've used a coupon for just about all of my domains when purchasing and when renewing.

What are you paying for renewal fees? I'm not paying any more than when purchasing which has usually been $7.49 or less. I've only paid full price ($10.69 altogether) for one renewal and that's because I forgot to enter a coupon...lol.

From a domainer's perspective, I've never cared for Godaddy but the promotions are hard to pass up. I will say that things have improved the past couple years and they continue to lead in market share by a wide margin. They draw you in with the promotions and make their money come renewal time. They have to pay for those Super Bowl commercials somehow.

Thanks Jill, I just found a good .org domain. I always have a list of domains that extends beyond my budget, so I'm glad to learn about these coupons. On the GoDaddy site, they make it sound like you can only get .coms for .99 but when you checkout they apply the discount. I love .coms, but good ones are hard to find these days!

Here's the thing. For less money than the sausage egg and cheese I'm about to shoot down to the corner for someone can get a simple website up today with a nice dot com.

This is not limited to "new" accounts either which is nice.

There is so much stuff in the War Room - content which can be applied.

If nothing else, one could purchase their real name as the dot com. Easily set up a page that is a resume or offered services, and be making some money within a week.

1 & 1 has some 3 months free hosting going on, but I'm sure there are even some better deals to be had.

I'm with you on this...hate GD. They're a multi million dollar company but saw fit to rip me off $5 privacy for an unrenewed domain I didn't want anymore but forgot to turn off auto billing. Well if they want my $5 so badly...

I know how you feel. I once had a few hundred names with GD, but moved the majority of them to the absolute worst registrar on the planet, 1and1 dot com - because they offered me a really low price as an enticement for bulk transfers. What a sucker I was. I soon realized that I had fallen into a well laid, tangling trap that was almost impossible to get free of. Comparatively speaking, GD wasn't that bad after all. Time and space won't permit me to go into details here, but suffice it to say that 1and1 dot com are CROOKS of the worst kind. Plain and simple. Beware!

By the way, there is a really good GoDaddy/WildWest registrar that I have used a lot, and the prices are reasonable, I have transferred a bunch of names from 1and1 and registered a bunch more with them - domaindo dot com. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just love their prices and the familiar GD interface and service.

I'm another GoDaddy hater. They screwed me over big time with their privacy services amount other issues. I lost my login for my privacy account and they caused huge amounts of grief just so that I could gain access to it again.

They are definitely more expensive too. Even if you save money by buying the domain for a $1, if you want privacy protection you'll have to pay another $9.95 for that.

With Namecheap (which I just just love) you pay about $8.00 for a domain (with a coupon -- Google "Namecheap coupon") and you get privacy protection FREE for the first year. Seems like a no-brainer to me. I've been using them for several years now and have never had an issue with them.

I heard something that if you get a domain you need to rent it for 3 year minimum, otherwise google will look at it as a domainer, or a fly by night company. Not sure if that's true, but it seemed to make sense so I generally rent for 3 year minimum.
