Whats the average click-through-rate? (Ebay, Amazon)

Does anyone know what the average CTR for an affiliate site is, especially for Ebay and Amazon? In other words, what is considered a "normal" number of daily clicks compared to the daily number of visitors? E.g. A site with 1500 unique daily visitors (targeted and untargeted) should produce how many clicks? 200, 300, 400, 500 etc? What's the percentage? Thanks for anyone who can shed light on this.

I don't about eBay but for Amazon I can tell you that your range should fall between 4-8%.

That sounds really high. Do you that many people click ads?

It's really not a function of Amazon vs eBay. It's a function of your site design / layout.

I promote Linkshare merchants and Amazon on my sites and virtually all of my sites experience CTR of 28%-35% consistently. TBH, I'm trying to move that up to 40% or more.
