Oh my... How would YOU approach this?

I'm currently working on a pet care campaign but as I'm looking through my keywords to write articles for I'm realizing that many of them are in regards to breeding, rather than general care. I already have a site for the "how to take care of..." type keywords, but am wondering what I should do for the breeding part. For the breeding keywords I wanted to forward them to an opt in and then to the vendor.

Should I...

A) Create another page on the site with the breeding KW in it's URL, and use this as a place for my opt-in?

or

B) Just use a separate domain for the breeding keywords (since the ebook I'm promoting for breeding is different than that for the general care KW's).

Appreciate the input in advance,

- Brandon

I suppose another option too would be to create a subdomain, although I'm not entirely sure how to do this > <

Either way would be fine in my opinion. As Branlan said, a subdomain is a good option as well, named after your main breeding keyword.

Or you could create an entirely different website for breeding, and interlink the dog care and dog breeding sites together to establish extra backlinks.

Also, I would think that the majority of average dog owners looking for information to care for their beloved pet are not necessarily looking to breed, but just looking to take care of their dog.

People interested in breeding are probably a different slice of the dog owner pie altogether.

It's not a dog care niche, I just didn't want to give exactly what animal it is away Although the same thing stands, I think you're right that people breeding are a different demographic.

Yup. Ofcourse it wouldn't hurt to link the breeding and care sites together to exchange traffic on both and probably add to your bottom line.

I would go the subdomain route because they are related, but different in subject. I believe it would be safer versus using a folder off the main domain. I believe if you should happen to get penalized for some reason with say your subdomain site it won't affect your main domain, as where if you use a folder and it gets penalized it will affect your entire site.

Make a .org site that has general info on the animals ...

with sections for general care and breeding AND OTHER STUFF

The .org will rank high in USA, UK and Canada.
It can then point to your other sites where you go in-depth as "an expert".

The .org site gives you an entry point in three search markets.
For the sae of an extra $10 domain ( if your hosting allows multiple sites
without added cost ) you can really give CRED to your sales sites
if you are the publisher of a product.

If you are an affiliate - maybe doing a free blog on
wordpress, blogspot and a few others
lenses, wetpaints hubpages, etc might do it for you.
