Who's using paid advertising and not Google adwords

Warriors,

After reading Jonathon Mizel's salesletter for traffic evolution, it got me thinking. I always knew that paid traffic is the way to go and it has a lot of advantages over social media, writing articles, etc. My question is , what paid advertising do you use outside of Google adwords and what has been successful and what hasn't?

Thanks

John Kiel

Ye, I'd recommend yahoo search marketing. They're great, cheap and quality traffic.. they also accepts paypal which is pretty helpful.

the paid methods i use are

Newsletter Advertising (Solo ads, Top Sponsor Ads)
    Banner Advertising
    Text Advertsing

But i use free advertising like articles because they are very effective.

So it is up to you and what you would like to do...free and paid methods

both work. So pick 1 or 2 methods and become good with them and add

a different traffic method to your tool box

John, do you know there are a couple of sites around that test and rate paid advertising sources?

The good ones (and there's only one I know of) need to be free of any affiliation with the suppliers of course.

I also buy solo ads in newsletters. It is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get traffic.

    Thanks,

    also depends on the niche
for example, 50+ yr olds grew up on MSN
so for age related problems, Bing is a better choice than Yahoo

There are also alot of small PPC companies that work more like Googles content network than the search side. Mizel will be in a seminar in Maui beginning of March. costs 4k and have to be spending 5k a month in PPC to get in. He supposedly has a 'secret' he will be sharing there.

Maui Seminar – Google AdWords Elite Master's Summit

Google seems to have alienated Perry Marshall, their # 1 fan over the years with some new policies they have introduced. There is still plenty of use for Adwords though. Still better than the yellow pages. Lol.
