Quick Blogger/Blogspot Questions

I know it's pitiful that I have been a member of this site for
a year and a half and am trying to build my first property.

Honestly, building a website is my main barrier to selling
products. Slowly but surely I'm getting over the fear of
creating one.

I got a Google Blogger For Dummies book from the library;
it's okay. Very basic though.

However, I have found much better info by searching the web: finding
different hacks, templates optimized for adsense, how to install trackers, etc.

Everything is much more simpler than I imagined.
One step at a time.

I chose to go with Blogger and will switch to hosted WordPress
coupled with Aweber once a few bucks are earned.

Blogger in its current state has too many bugs and has a
few years to go before they catch up with WordPress.

However, it is enough to serve my current needs.


Problem

I have found that Blogger's WYSIWYG composer still needs some
work. When I copy/paste from Notepad or any word processor
to Blogger's WYSIWIG and then publish post: the published post
has many unwanted <br/> tags automatically inserted into post.

How can I stop that from happening?

    When you are in notepad, there should be an option to remove the "styles" of the text. I wish I could tell you how to do it exactly, but I use a mac. After you remove any styles from your text you should be able to paste without any problems.

    Also, I am not trying to sell you anything, but have a look at my first site in my signature. There are quite a few blog posts about working with WP all aimed at beginners. It is much easier than you think.
