Hi Friends,

Is it true? Is what your listing for sale and the testimonials your using true?

though for many of us it is a no brainer to conduct business with integrity heck it makes product releases and relationships go a lot smoother if people can trust you. but....

There is a lot of shadiness in our industry people left high and dry feeling used lied to and let down. now i know it is not just our industry but this the one i am addressing because that's what we are in.

Though new to IM as of feb 09 i am not new to business itself When i ran my tech company i did so with the same practice i take online. I didn't lie. I did what was needed and then some-overdeliver and my track record was untouchable built a rep most 500 companies would envy. I find that online it is much tougher for people to trust because there are a lot of things they don't know .

who are you.Even if your a top name in the industry new people don't know that . why are you different from the next guy selling me something. are you valid or are you a scammer . these are questions a lot of people go through in the first seconds on your site. I have seen on this awesome forum some pretty un cool topics with some pretty far out responses concerning ethics and i know everyone has their way of doing things but friends what is it we need to have in our busines and industry that will not cause people to have to worry or wonder if they are dealing with someone legit. Integrity.

We need to be able to put our money where our mouth is so to speak and back it up . make the customer feel like they have great value and even if they don't buy that product or that service they will in fact be impacted and will remember you.

so if they see you again or visit your site again they will be drawn that much more into buying or signing up. `If you can create a product that kicks but. that is awesome. it is only great if people buy it. i created 2 products i thought would make me a thousandaire before it was done and it made me a few dollars only instead.

Why?
The product had a cover graphic. The content inside was awesome and included bonuses. etc... the main reason i came to terms with is i did not seperate myself. in other words i did not make myself stand out so to them it was just another guy trying to sell something that was probably crap and not going to do what it says.

The fact is it takes effort for us to gain trust but once we do we need to value that trust like gold. i know lots of people that consider the herd just a cash cow but what i do with my list is over deliver. i send them gifts that normaly would cost them 30-100 bucks i even went and bought the magic bullet system with all the rights so i could give it to them. why?

Establish myself as a person not out for their cash only but actually have a desire to help and can be trusted. I don't promote others products.-that's different. well i guess i have to say i did promote one member in the forum which is the only time i have ever done so and i hope it helped him but i don't know because i did not track to see i just told them my opinion.

Integrity is like the light switch in a dark room without it your screwed.

Every single time a customer comes to you they need to feel like your the best thing since sliced bread and even sliced bread isn't so hot.lol.

so here is my top 5 for the year of 09 best business practices.

Drum Roll Please

#1 Do what you say say what you do .let the customers understand they can trust you by being the same in everything you do.

#2 Give them their money's worth and follow up personally don't let them feel like they were built up and then let down.

#3 Once a customer becomes a customer give them the incentive to stay with you by giving things away offering advice and sending things to them that will help them with what they purchased or compliment it at least.

#4 Stand outside of the crowd if people are selling something for like 97$ but you know it is only worth maybe 10 buy it with rights and give it away. this does 2 things one it builds a loyal base i have had only 2 unsubscribe this year. and 2 it gives them an understanding that your looking to give them value in everything you offer or do for them.

#5 my top Best Business Practice for the year..Never Ever Lie to the customer. even a little. if you say x=y then make sure x=y not x=r
in doing so you will bring in a heck of a rep and build a loyal customer base for years to come. a customer is only a customer if they spend their money with you and in this day and age lots of folks are without even that little extra so treat them like Gold!

This concludes our broadcast.lol

It all boils down to treating other people how you'd want to be treated yourself, much like everything else. Unless you'd want to be lied to then it's pretty clear that it's not a good idea.

It doesn't surprise me that internet marketers are treated like liars in some circles. I think it's a hangover from the greedy days when the internet was new to people and was treated as some kind of ATM where people would type in an offer, however implausible, instead of a PIN and expect a fistful of dollars in return. I think most people realise that you do actually have to provide something worthwhile in exchange for the cash now.

What never fails to amaze me is when internet marketers automatically question the integrity of each other. Of course people should be duly diligent, but there's something radically wrong when you're assuming that people are liars or being untruthful just because they're doing what you do.

Good point Diana it is kind of like calling the kettle black so to speak. this is why it is important for us to build relationships i don't auto assume people are lying but if i catch them i call them on it. i think people for the most part are just trying to live and do what is right but there are an awful lot of things done by some that are highly questionable.

thanks a lot for sharing this is a good perspective and something for us all to remember a little respect for one another does a world of good. sometimes i fail in that area but i am working on it
