The Key To Making Money Online

Hey there fellow warriors, I was just writing a video presentation about the keys to making money online, so far I have come up with the following:

  • Failing (but having the balls to carry on)

  • Experience (Only gained from failing)

  • Dedication (To do "just one more" before you go to bed, whatever that is)

  • Mindset (Having the capacity to sit infromt of a computer screen for days, sometimes even missing meals and showers - Joke! Or am I?)

  • Contact with people with an interest/passion of Internet Marketing (i.e. the warrior forum)

  • Automation

  • Duplication (finding something that works and doing it over)

  • Reputation (earning a reputation for your self is a very important part of Internet Marketing, I feel!)

  • Teaching (This because you learn more as a teacher than you do as a student)

  • Being Creative (This is my favorite part, I was always good at drawing, making music and a lot of other creative pass times but IM is the same for me. A lot of people say "use the proven system" but I feel why not just make it yours!)

Thats all for now, like I said at the start. Could you please add just one more "Key to success" for this thread. Thanks all

    I would add:

    Scaling Up
    Outsourcing

Those go hand-in-hand with your point about Duplication. Find something that makes you money on a small scale and that can be scaled up by doing more of it in the same amount of time. That's scaling up. Outsourcing is how you leverage the clock to get more done in the same amount of time.

    And finally:

    Build A List

Can't stress this enough. We're marketers. It's shallow thinking to believe you should be able to make a lot of sales the first time you show something to your site visitors. Even if you get a great conversion rate, think of all the folks you're just letting slip out of your grasp by not giving them the option to subscribe to your list. Marketers market their wares more than once.

Yes, never giving up is key to success. Another important factor is TRAFFIC to your site because without lots of traffic on a consistent basis you will not be as successful as you should be.

    TRAFFIC is key too.

I would say developing (or at least promoting) products and services that give real value to real people.

If you don't have that, everything else is a waste of time.

    Cheers,

I don't know what the key to success is.

I believe that the 1st key to success is being
able to dedicate money, time and efforts to build a list
of at least 10000 targeted subscribers.

The 2nd key then would be to know how to squeeze
every single dollar out of that list.

I want to expand a bit although my friend, sdentrepreneur, said.

    Traffic = Money

Now there are many tools one can use to drive traffic. Depending on how well you know how to use these tools effectively, will determine how much "buying traffic", traffic that spends money, you get.

    On page SEO
    Off web SEO
    PPC traffic
    PPV traffic

These are all tools, you need to read each one's "operating manual" before you use them........it seems obvious but most people, at least initially, don't take the time to learn how to use a tool.........

    Here's my advice to you.

Drive traffic to a squeeze page where you give a free report on whatever you niche is in exchange for a confirmed email address. You wanna see how hungry a niche is...............this will show you. If they snap up the report and your list swells, well then you can start making money off that list and/or building niche blogs to begin to dominate your niche.

Building a list is essential, in my opinion.

    Peace

Disclosure: I just began taking my own advice...
