I Am Really Really Confused About Safelists.

Hi Everyone, Sandy Here..

I just joined a program that I think will do well for me.
Especially with it's residual income.
Part of the training they give in the back office recommends
several safelists to join to promote this thing.
I've heard some versions of it's a complete waste of time.
And from others, they wouldn't live without their safelist promotions.

Could I hear from others who have had safelist successes and failures please?

It would help a great deal if you'd also list some of the better ones
if you've had some success with them.

Thanks so much for your time,

Success and Smiles,
Sandy

Hi Sandy, I have never been able to make any sales with safelist, but I haven't tried building a list with them, you might be able to do that, but I have never tried so not sure if you can or not. I do know when I used them I was getting hundreds of emails so make sure you use a throw away e-mail address.

I used some and got traffic but no sales, so I like to use them for traffic. I don't think you're going to find any money coming from them.

If anyone has had success I would like to hear about it, but thats all I use it for is traffic and the traffic isn't that great as well.

      Sandy,

Just move on away from the whole safelist arena.

In the past when they were super popular I belonged to hundreds and ran quite a few myself.

It is not a way to make serious money or build a great list and the reason for this is that just about all the people on the safelist are Internet marketers trying to sell to you and they have an email filter set up to delete everything that comes in so they never see your message.

Out of all the methods of promotion I would say this has not only had it's day but it never actually had one in the first place.

      Good Luck Sandy,

      Ade

Let's look at the safe list user .

They are a lot like you . They are an internet marketer that needs basically the same thing you do. Websites , hosting ... tools of the trade.

They do not have the time to buy directly but will take the time to sign up to a list if you present something they need for free. Sign up to my newsletter is not an option here .

Credit based also means a lot . if the site is not credit based ... you can bet your ads are going to a throw away email address.

you don't want to sell on safelists, the best is to use them to build your list.. or if you are going to promote anything, it would be something that is free to join with upsells..

most members are looking for credits when they click the credit links..so the better your subject and body are, the more clicks you will get..

if you are using a squeeze page, and you promote on safelists.. the conversions will be lower.. why?

cause you get more traffic to a site but less opting in.. (because many just want to earn the credits)

I have owned 3 safelists (since sold them)...

this is my experience: a squeeze page that converts at 50% with jv traffic (ad swap) will convert at 1-2% with safelist and traffic exchange traffic..

I know cause I test and compare... the conversions are always lower cause you got members who are looking just for credits to earn..

So if you are going to use safelists, use more than 1 or 2 and make sure they have more than 2K members.. and expect conversions to be lower if you are building a list..
