Hi everyone,
I've been trying to promote a product on clickbank but the issue is that my affiliate link takes prospects to the opt-in page rather than the sales/pitch page. Is it normal? Would i still get my commission if the prospects eventually buys?

    Hi Femtop,

Yes it is normal and yes you will get your commission if the prospect does eventually buy. There are some ways to go around their Opt In page but I've never done it.

ClickBank cookies last for 60 days. If someone clicks on your link and then returns to the site without going through another affiliate link, you will get the credit. If they go through another affiliate link, the other affiliate will get the credit.

    Hope this helps.

For me, I find it comforting when the vendor embeds my affiliate link in his autoresponder messages. It's not difficult to set up either.

But IP tracking is far better.

If you believe you have created a great sales page of your own and feel you would probably get better conversions without first going through the vendor's opt in page, you can always send your prospect directly to the order page.

      Here's how:
Just use this simple bit of URL code:

      http://1.yyyyyyy zzzzzzzz.pay.clickbank.net

Just replace yyyyyyy with your clickbank ID

Replace the zzzzzzzz with the product ID

This is great for selling directly to an email list or with your own custom sales page.

Go ahead and try my personal link cloaker. This baby can pretty much do it all (even bypass sales pages, optin pages etc...)

    http://www.affiliateteachings.com/at-link-cloaker/

It's free, but you'll need to register on the site (it's to avoid abuse)

    Cheers

If you want to get a bit creative, you can take the visitors to YOUR opt-in page, you'd have to build one, drop a cookie, then send them to the product creators opt-in page.

You can prepopulate their opt-in page with the visitors name and email, but this might scare some folks off. Plus, they'd be getting messages from you and the the product creator.

Better off letting them go straight to the product creators opt-in page. They will have a 60 day cookie on their computer so if they buy from the autoresponder sequence you get paid. And the product creator probably has professionally written sales copy in their emails with a good conversion rate.
