Buying established Sites

I am getting a little tired of making a lot of new sites "from scratch", and recently i read a lot about people buying established sites and use this to their advantage.

Well i know the usual places like sitepoint, i just read about flippa, or the various webmaster forums.

Where would you buy *cheap* established domains? What would be the best place to get really good steals?

The reason i ask is that i think places like sitepoint or flippa might be good to SELL...but probably not ideal if you want to buy?

Lets say you want to rank for "make easy money".

Ranking a new site, may or may not be a lot of work. Go to page two or three and look for some ugly affiliate sites. Look up the whois, chances are they didn't know well enough to hide it, and call them and ask them to sell it.

I've done this a few times - works like a charm. They aren't making a dime from their sites and probably haven't made much online period. Offer them a fair price and they'll take it and be over the moon.

    Both parties win.

Once you have the site change it up a little - try not to screw with the bones of the site like the title tags etc.

Now just build some links and get er ranked up high.

P.S - There's some good sites every now and than on Flippa but you really have to watch out. They aren't always as they seem - unfortunately.

Dude, you can buy good sites from any of those sites, just find value wehre others don't see it. If you can improve, or monotize a site in a new way your golden.
