Hello Everyone

And I writing this out of desperation, just spent this year and these last 3 days trying to figure out system to make money online. Also been reading about the outrageous number of systems there are to make money with Twitter.

I am interested to start an online biz either mine or something with Twitter but my confusion is:
1. do you need a website/blog to monetize Twitter or you can use something already created, if so pls suggest which system helps you get some money
2. I am interested in article marketing, affiliate marketing, ppc, i m just a newbie (though i m willing to make a blog)
3. What is the most profitable market, i am interested in health&nutrition, food&cooking, beautycare products. I am a herbalife distributor too.

I read so many twitter guides lately that my mind is going to explode literally. Signed up to sponsored tweets but i dont tweet that much as i m lost in twitter. If somenoe here is making money with any twitter products and is willing to help, i really appreciate it.

Sorry for the rant but as you can see i m a newbie and desparate in the tons of info on the internet.

Many thanks & Best wishes for the holidays

Regards

Dorita

    Hi Dorita
Internet marketing is hard but anyone can make it if serious about it. In my opinion you need proper training before you start making any blogs or websites. I have been in Internet marketing for 4 months now and truly enjoy it. I am a member of wealthy affiliate University and that's where I get all my training and personal coaching!
They are giving away their top selling ebooks on how to make money online to whoever join until the 28 Dec.
I would join for a month just to get my hands on them!
Please check their bonus offer from my signature.
PM me if you need any help!

Hi Dorita, it is VERY HARD to start figuring out everything there is to internet marketing, blogging, social media and so on all on your own.You are going to make mistakes at some point that are costly.

When it comes to internet marketing, you must spend some money to make money. Therefore, I recommend you join a resource (a membership program) that teaches you step-by-step all you need to know. There are many good ones out there. If you are into blogging and social media, one of the best training resources is called blogsuccess. Dorita,

You might want to check out this WSO from Paul Chow (Warrior Name: Paulie888) if you're looking for a way to use Twitter to boost your online presence:

Twitter is nothing more than a way to reach eyeballs.

There are systems that will help you reach more of them. Some will help you reach eyeballs of people who are interested specifically in whatever you're promoting. Some take lots of effort, and some take little. Some work and some don't.

Those who say that Twitter doesn't work really mean that they haven't been able to make it work.

There are LOTS of people using Twitter "wrong." This has indeed turned it into a spammy place. This isn't really that different than Facebook, and Facebook is not going anywhere. The keys are to interact on your audience's level and to avoid spamming.

Hi dorrita, one thing i learned about twitter is that if you pitch only sales tweets then you'll lose your followers and you'll not gain much traffic to your links as well. There needs to be social touch to your tweets. I learned this hard way. I'm sure tweeter will be more filtered in 2010.

Hi and A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who took the time to answered.

To Vincesil who wrote about WA, i have paid the subscription for 2 months just to get all the training but I got fed up for the only reason there are many different things you have to do to be an affiliate, ppc, writing articles, blogs - so many rules for everything u do. Just not my type of thing. But i agree with you its worth the money for the things you learn.

I prefer something to set up a website and retail my products or on ebay. But at least I do one thing.

Regarding the others who answered about Twitter its kinda funny, one said it will die soon the others probably found the tricks and are making money of it. Personally from what i read and as a feeling Twitter will continue to gain popularity and revenue in the coming, just look at the numerous Twitter apps that have been developed.
My problem with Twitter is how to communicate with ur followers. Ideally you should have a blog/website ?

Once again a big THANKS to all of you, wishing you the best for Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Dorita, While you can definitely monetize Twitter without a website or a blog, if you're really going to go all out and focus on monetizing Twitter then a website or a blog is the first thing I'd put in place! People truly hate to be sold on via Twitter, so you have to be very subtle and direct people to your site as much as possible, without making it seem like overt promotion.

What I would do is set up a simple lead capture page that offers a nice juicy incentive, and point that out to your Twitter followers as much as you can without being pushy. The key here is to get them off Twitter as quickly as possible and into your autoresponder, where you can market to them properly, and do it over and over again.

Twitter can't even monetize Twitter. I mean, Twitter is millions of absolutely mindless drivel that scrolls on your screen in a rapid manner. There are far easier ways to monetize a website. Article marketing for one. Backlinks and natural Google traffic for two.

I've bought Paulie's WSO and he knows what he's talking about. While you can use CPA offers and the like to promote on Twitter, it's more of a free viral list-builder than anything... if you're not building your list, most of your promos will be white-noise.

Imran Naseem had another WSO not too long ago using a very out-of-the-box Twitter method (I'm still wrapping my head around how SIMPLE it actually is >), but like any other free tool that's beyond your control, I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket.

      Hello Emily

I would like to thank you for your personal opinion on my questions.

I am still a newbie, I started at Wealth Academy for 6 wks just to get an idea of IM, spent some weeks writing articles for affiliate programs but its not my style.

I would like to promote others' products through youtube, twitter or maybe CPA? Remember i am still a newbie starting out. Does it take long to earn money from CPA and is it risky ?

have you ever used any of these programs

      CPA Arbitrage
From the reviews i read all agreed its for beginners and a good product. Only one said its for intermediate and lack videos on step by step instructions.

You Tube quick cash system by Daniel Wrangler and James Watson from yourinternetbuddies.com

And how about the guide you mentioned in your post. Imram Naseem if i remember correctly the name. What it is about?

Sorry for the long rant but I am still lost. Would like to decide on a system thats easy to use and start as from next year.

Thank you very much for your time and Wish you all the Best for the year to come.

I would suggest looking at a different vehicle for monetizing something, other than by Twitter, ESPECIALLY if you're just starting out. And whatever you do, don't follow any guide that tells you to automate signups. Yes, you'll get thousands of signups. But anything you tweet, and anything that anyone tweets to you will get lost in more noise than you will have time to keep up with.

    Hi Dorita,

Twitter is rapidly changing everyday, so what works today might not work tomorrow. Twitter by itself really isn't good for ongoing monetization.

Here are a few tips that might help you:
    • Setup your blog in a chosen niche with a good SEO keyword in the title
    • Setup a Twitter account using that exact same keyword
    • In your Twitter profile, put the link to your niche specific blog
    • Find a popular person/company in Twitter with a large following in your niche
    • Follow that person's/company's followers to build your following
    • Communicate with those followers with tips and tactics within your niche
    • Give away a free report on your blog in exchange for an opt-in
    • Place niche specific banners/links on your blog that your readers will like (not too many)
    • Place a YouTube video about yourself and niche on your blog
    • Occasionally recommend products that you like to your Twitter followers, blog readers and to people that opted in to your email list. Just alert people to what you have written about on your blog and let it do the recommending, not selling!
Now I know that this is a lot of information condensed into a short post but this topic really is something that would take a complete eBook to explain. Being a newbie I hope that this can at least give you a foundation of where to start.

    Good luck!

I have noticed more and more people who tweet 3 or 4 times in a row in order to make their message stand out. I don't know who taught that. It is kind of annoying.

I think Twitter can be used effectively to build a list. I don't tthink you can market on Twitter but rather use Twitter to get them to another platform and they are more receptive.

Dorita, CPA can be as risky or risk-less as you make it, since it all depends on how you choose to promote it - through free methods or paid advertising. Are you currently a member in any CPA network? If you aren't, then your first hurdle would be to get into several good ones, as you can't monetize CPA without being in at least one good network. CPA Arbitrage involves paid advertising, where you buy low (advertising) and sell high (your pay-per-lead commission/fee), so this is definitely going to require at least a few hundred dollars to do properly. I think you're a little confused about CPA, it is not an advertising method where you promote someone else's products, as you state above.
