Banner Ads after being terminated from Adwords

Well it just happened to me as like thousands of others:Account terminated from Adwords-No real why's,have not advertised for months.The strength of one can really hurt-However my question is this "Are banner ads on the come back" to explain more. Some months ago I started using a simple banner site called "Buysellads" as was getting wiped out with Adwords on cost of clicks to sales I was getting-money was getting low,reality bit me as my bank capped my credit card spending-they are not fools-at $450 a month on Adwords to sales being $360 or so result bloody misery.

I found a stone to crawl under for a few months to lick my wounds and realized what a jerk I had become,going woo on first page of google with my ads on the right-what a tosser!

So now you can see why I decided on a new venture for traffic-There is a certain amount of free traffic,articles,free ad sites etc but really hard to get the traffic one needs to sell ones products.

After some two months with trial and error found that banner sites do work.
Putting in to perspective:I have a photography site,put up a quick banner onto sites at a cost between $10 to $35 a month per site, that was my budget for the month as near broke. Heaps of impressions not many clicks,hardly a sale.

Then bingo! My son knows his way around photoshop and made me a neat 125x125 banner.He is 31 I am a old fart of 59,to cut a long story short,his ideas were with today. Impressions were always good as these sites had page rankings of 3 to 4 and guaranteed 10,000 impressions if not more.

The interesting thing was my click through rate trebled in a week and sales were coming in,much better than Adwords.

Any advice or information that you Warrior experts can give to really crank this up would be great-Also feel it might help others just starting out with their blog or web site and need quick traffic but do not have a huge budget to spend-Bring on any advice!
