I Need Article Writing Tips

Hi,

The questions below are for articles that will be submitted to directories. My goal is to get to Google page 1.

1. How long should the title be?

2. Is it best to put the keyword phrase first, followed by a dash (-), then complete the Title?

3. Do you put the keyword phrase in the Title, First paragraph and every 100 words?

    Hi Alan,

    1. Many article publishers require articles to be at least 500 words. Some require less, but I've found that the 500 word minimum is a good threshold.

    2. For the title, I usually recommend going with something that includes the keywords but is also catchy. Remember that your articles are going to be review by human editors before publishing. They want quality content, so give it to them!

    3. Try and work your keyword phrases in as often as possible without your article sounding forced. Remember to vary your keyword phrase(s) as well. You can do this by using different word order and/or synonyms. This will tie in with LSI as well.

Also, if you're going to be targeting LingerieExposure.com you'll probably want to move the site away from eBay. Right now your page content is delivered via an iframe and doesn't show ANY keywords, product information, etc.

    Hope this helps!

Does this mean you can change the words and order of words in a long tail keyword? For instance if the main keyword is grow giant cucumber can you also say grow large cucumbers or large cucumber growing?

I write my articles in an informative, but conversational tone with a catchy title. I write for the readers and want them to want to read it. I also want them to copy it, with resource link, into their blogs and websites, thus creating even more backlinks.

If the content is purely promotional and it's sole purpose is to get someone to your site to buy the product, it's less likely to be read or used in other people's sites ... IMHO.

I like catchy titles. Catchy titles tend to go viral more than strictly keyword titles. I don't have any problem getting my articles accepted ... all of them ... by article directories, including EzineArticles.

Length of the title doesn't matter so long as it is catchy and has something to do with the rest of the article. I try to find the main keyword and then work in other words that google expects to see in an article about that subject. You also need to make it readable and valuable to the people reading it. With article marketing you must give before you get.
