Need Help Growing My E-Mail List Faster!

Any suggestions out there? I am only getting a few opt-ins a day which I am grateful for but I really need to ramp it up to the next level. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone.

    What kind of stuff do you offer to your mailing list? WIIFM? Why should I sign up?

    Think like a prospect considering signing up and you'll solve the problem

    EDIT: I'm assuming that your opt-in is on the site in your sig? If so, make the lightbox smaller, put the call to action above the fold, put the signup box on your page in several prominent locations, make the colors more attractive -- bold saturated colors...

    Just some ideas jumping into my mind seeing your page.

    Oh and something is probably wrong with the lightbox script you're using -- its very slow, I clicked away before it finished turning the rest of the page dark.

    The classified forum has a lot fewer posts. There are advantages and disadvantages:

    Advantage: your post stays on page 1 a lot longer
    Disadvantage: most of the buying traffic is in the WSO forum
