  • I have a very intricate strategy that is directly tied into the success of the website I wrote my eBook course for. The site now has around 7,000 members, but, the more it grows and attracts members who LOVE it...the more my potential customer base expands....

For that reason, I got to know the CEO, and linked him up with a prominent blogger (has 30,000+ Twitter fans), in order to do a podcast about their site. My goal is to further 'grow' their site, so to also expand the potential customer base who would purchase the product....

I also have my own podcast lined up with that blogger, and have received testimonials/reviews from both the site's owners as well as the blogger. Besides that, I've been developing a presence on forums for similar website platforms.....

I'll definitely be using social media as well....I have a Facebook site set up, as well as a Twitter, and MySpace, and LinkedIN accounts set up for myself and my partner. I want to give customers every possible way to LINK and connect with us as possible....long after the sale is made....I want to foster a very longterm relationship with them, beyond my list....

    • and....I'd love to do Google Adwords...but, I hear it's very tricky if you don't know what you are doing....lol...I'll have to research it, and maybe buy a book or two about it...

I have had some success using Facebook Ads...so I may try that, as well...

  • Hi,

My Absolutely no work hands off never touch residual income is at about $1000 to $1200 a month. I plan to double it using some of the old tried and true methods used by others that I haven't used yet, such as, article marketing, affiliate marketing, etc.

    1. Go for IM mentorship in order to learn at the feet of someone that has made it and is still making it.
    2. Attend IM seminars and workshops in order to gather enough relevant knowledge.
    3. Draw a IM business plan that I must follow courageously and discreetly.
    4. Get a domain, design and host a website.
    5. Work on the website till something good, better and best comes out of it.

Don't take my comments the wrong way, but everything you listed worked great in 2008 and 2009.

#5 has worked well since at least 2001 when I came on the scene.

#4 has worked great since at least 2002 and probably since the mid 90's....

#3 has worked great since at least 2002 when I first started article marketing....

#2 has worked great since at least 2005 and 2008 respectively...

#1 has worked great since at least 2006....

All those dates are approximates of when I first tinkered with those approaches.

Now, if anything, these methods will continue to work well into 2010 and beyond, a least until the world ends in 2012

I think one vital compnent of this that everyone should be looking at is in developing sophisticated processes to tie all of them together, linking back and forth, around, over, under and leveraging RSS as much as possible.

Once you hit on the right strategy for mashing up all these services you'll be unstoppable

    • lol I would have typed that exact response if you hadn't already.

For 2010 a great way to market will be to try some things you HAVEN'T tried before while focusing on the strategies that currently make you money.... then, like Mike said, Mash them up for a killer combo.

One tactic I use that you didn't have listed though is site selector on Google's content network. Almost as good as backlinking.... almost :p

  • I think video marketing, although used for a few years is starting to become mainstream, and 'the norm'. You don't NEED to use video, but I think it helps to build relationships and connections - and increases sales!
  • 1. Outsourcing (mostly articles)
    2. Backlinking
    3. PPC
    4. CPA

  • Well, mine are somewhat narrowly focused and to the point, I guess. My 5 marketing tactics for 2010 include:
    1. Using article marketing to promote my blog
    2. Using article marketing to promote my websites and Squidoo Lens
    3. Using article marketing to sell my products and services
    4. Using article marketing to promote myself
    5. Enjoy helping others learn how to do the same.

  • Video is going to become even bigger this year. There are media devices, and even TVs coming out w/ an internet connection built in. If you post your videos to the right services, your video could have huge potential.

Just recently Netflix added several internet channels to their movie box. Which means a well timed/placed video has the potential to be seen by millions of movie watchers and game players. If you pay attention to the big players, you'll see that it's becoming ever easier to be a video rock-star.
  • I like Your List

but never heard of looksmart or adknowledge. how are they? i noticed you didnt list ysm or bing.
    • [1] reply
    • LookSmart and Adknowledge are good not great, I use 25 to 30 different marketing methods each month. Spend about $300.00 month with them and break even or double amount spent each month in sales.
  • My strategy is to focus on high quality backlinks instead of getting those c*ppy "profile backlink packages" anymore. And of course further double my clickbank income. It has tripled compared to last year, maybe i can triple it again
Thinking about it, i might also hire even more people for article writing.

I keep doing what i am doing and try to improve and build upon that.

And, yes: Article Marketing + SEO!
