Which site should I send SEO traffic to?

I've been doing IM for over three years. All my traffic so far has been via PPC. Mostly AdWords.

It's time I diversified.

My plan is to use tubemogul, article directories, squidoo, etc. to get backlinks to my site.

My question is, should I link from the above web properties directly to my money site (sales page), or to a blog first?

web properties => money site

OR

web properties => blog => money site

This is uncharted territory for me.

What are the advantages / disadvantages of both?

Try both and run a trial. Set it up for a week or so to go to your blog and then a week or so to go to your sales page.

See which one is giving you the best results. When you send them to you blog, have a opt-in available so that if it's successful you can still capture email addresses.

Our website consist of three parts 1. Listings 2. Article Directory 2.Forum.
When we getting backlinks we link back to all of the sections of our website. If we publish an article, we link back to the page that is most relevant to that particular article. Or if we post a link to social bookmarking site then it depends on the theme of the bookmarking site what links we post there.
I would say that try to keep the link relevant to the page it is posted on.

You want to hit them with the squeeze page, then let them have the free blog content.

I would do it other way around. If I get a squeeze page I leave immediately, but If it is a blog content and it is interesting and helpful I am more likely to look at the squeeze page more closely.

Maybe it is just me, Lets see what others thinks,

I suppose to find out is to run some trials as Elsabe Furness suggested.

        What you need:
        • 36 free web properties
        • 3 self hosted WP on different but related domains (with high quality content of course)
        How it works:
        • randomly link 36 web properties to 2 out of the 3 paid WP blogs
        • link the 2 blogs to the last blog and direct the last blog to your money page
        • bookmark every single content that you posted + some other content from other sources related to your niche but not your competitor (to provide natural link building)
        • ping and rss submit
Tedious process but allow you to get under radar, most importantly try to make all content super high quality because there are still real people visiting all your web properties...

        Regards,
        Darren

You could point out to your money site, and make a blog which also points out to your money site. If you were writting articles, in the resource box you could add your money site and your blog for a double whammy.
